If you followed the thread you would have found that Racing Brake was not responsive to his project and his requests. I had also contacted them before and got nowhere with them. I find it odd that they come and respond here looking for business when both Star4life and myself have tried talking to them. If you read between the lines, perhaps their only “one or two” customers is really referring to us. Who knows. Actually part of the drive for both of us to make these projects work is borne from Racing Brakes lack of interest to our requests.

I’ve managed to reproduce the front brackets so I am probably going to sell the front brackets that I used to make a copy from.

Isn't the market huge if racing brake market bbk for same fit for both c300 and c43? If they said hey have the tool and knowledge and no need for guessing game, they can make it for this bigger market pending it clears the suspension and requiring 19" OEM rims.

It won't be just 1 or 2 c43 guys.

if you have the sport brakes on c300 yes the BBK should be the same i believe. regardless, i made a post in the c300 forum with no interest. most of the c300 guys are not going to drop 5k on a BBK. ive been involved with c class my whole life and even in the w204 which has been out 12 years now, ive only seen like 1-2 guys (on forum) upgrade to a BBK. I am sure more people overseas upgrade since owning fast cars can be expensive. In the states it is **Usually** cheaper to just buy the faster car that comes with the brakes. In my case , i got my car for a super deal and need the awd so the c63 rwd was not an option let alone anywhere near the cost i got my 43 for.

Speaking about racing brake, I am unsure if their brakes are really that durable. I think most who buy them don't track the car so do not push the limits. I have seen a couple threads online about their rotors braking in a track environment. If you look at thier caliper vs the brembo ones or really any 2 piece rotor they are all essentially made the same. aluminium hat, and iron friction surface. look closer at thier drawings and see that they take weight out of the friction surface to reduce over all weight. And thier patented 2 piece design has failed on track via a few forum members (not mercedes). I am not saying they are bad but I have never seen a brembo rotor fail like that and the money behind the brembo name is significantly more with more R&D money to test all conditions. its possible I have a sour taste in my mouth from dealing with RB, but i just dont think the money is there for them to make these kits as most are not willing to drop the required money to upgrade. But for most street users I think their rotors would be fine, but you can only take so much weight out with an iron friction surface and aluminum hat. unless you go to a carbon rotor all will weight about the same so just find the cheapest brand name. In this case, its brembo.

Hello guys! I'm currently doing C63 rear brake upgrade for my S205 C200. Everything fits in fine but my last problem is that my old harness wont plug to new e parking brake motor. My earlier motor connection had just 2 pins and C63 seem to have 3 pins so probably wiring is also a bit different. Did you have same kind of issue example with C43 and did you sort it out with new harness?

I have done the C63 brakes conversion. The clean way is to replace your current harness with the C63 ones. it will fit nicely.
Part number is A2055400700. It is sold per piece so you need to buy 2.

Have fun!

To be more precise you will need A2055400700 and A2055400800, but I guess two of the same side could work.

I'm making the rear hats in aluminium, should be done in a couple of weeks time.

Thanks for the quick answer! Saw this A2225401105 code in earlier posts but that might be something else then? I think A2055400800 has also split wiring to brake pad sensor what I looked pics from Google.

yes! my bad.... it should be 700 and 800 as what tmodelle mentioned. i just saw the pics of my last upgrade and indeed that i got them (700 AND 800) separately, and not 2 of the 700).

the A222 belongs to the S Class brakes, and the front and rear calipers have identical part numbers.

Front carbon ceramic rotors are finally done. I’ll follow up with photos of the the Rears next week.

Brembo carbon rotor customised to fit C63 caliper upgrade. You can switch back to steel rotors - it’s plug and play.

Fits under stock 19” wheels.

Looks great but forgive me for not pouring back through the entire topic but are you actually upgrading the rear caliper or just the disc?

Both.

Star4life can elaborate a little more than me as this is his thread.

The only difference is that mine will be carbon ceramic rotors on the same calipers as he’s using.

Thanks, I'll sit patiently for the pics, I'm glad someone took this on as I don't understand the reason AMG decided to drop 4 pot units for a single on the rear. I've seen M3/4 cars with 2 pot rear caliper systems and 4 pot Brembo units (on W212 AMG cars) that would've been better equipment than the one being used now. I certainly don't want to derail this topic and I've read other threads on the subject but I'm glad this upgrade has a forum and one I might well reference when I finally decide on an E63 (20 or 21) in the next year or so.

If you scroll up a bit you will see Dan’s post with the pics of the rear C63 caliper upgrade. C63 and E63 are also single pot rear calipers, in case you didn’t already know.

Thanks, I'm aware of the brake affliction on both C & E63 cars and the only upgrade I saw was the D2 calipers way up the thread. It's a shame previous years OEM 6/4 pot units are so costly.

These are the rear alloy hats you’ll need to do the rear caliper upgrade. I have a few limited sets available, let me know if you want them.

Hello @TModelle & @Star4life how are you my friends! Glad to see you all are well.
Amazing work!
Still continuing on my end with the turbo engine build.
Posted pics of the motor finally dropped.
Question- wanting to do the brake front and rear upgrade while everything is out.
Have you all put a complete kit together?
Would love to do the same carbon discs brake setup. I can buy the hats from you too and what ever else is needed.
Reading conflicting threads, so glad I came across this one- Lost is this department lol
Thanks again for your guys help.

I forgot what year and model was yours again?
Now that things are moving again by finding SVG to do the engine build I want to now do the BBK upgrade.
Visited D2’s site but didn’t see anything for my 2016 C450Amg.
