2019 Headlight condensation

Who's got it? I have. The manual says its normal, but the stuff I have is crazy. It is humid and cold here, but you would think a 65k car would be pretty lock tight.

It's completely normal due to venting to keep the electronics from overheating.

Some condensation at times is normal, the units are not sealed as many believe. Varies due to weather, the condensation usually forms overnight when the warm moist air condenses on the inside of the lense surface as it cools. When the lights come on the heat drives it out. So it depends on the humidity at the time. Yes it's annoying. As long as you've gone to the dealer and they noted it on a service ticket you'll be covered if anything happens down the road. So far I've not had any on my 2019 C43 Sedan luckily.

I am going to give it a couple of days before I make the call. The weather here in Stuttgart can fluctuate pretty bad..

How long does it last? Mine have not totally gone away, and some of the droplets are colliding with others to make bigger drops.

you have to run the car/headlights for it to evaporate, FWIW

To be honest I haven't paid that much attention to it as it does go away, and doesn't seem to take that long to do so.

Sorry, I know that's not very helpful....

All great input. It's been wet and cold here, so no reall opportunity. Doesn't help that German houses have pretty small garages. My wive's XC-60 gets the spot, so I am on the pad out in the elements. A mumber of one of the Facebook groups claims to have had an ugrade perforemd by Mercedes after extensive complaints. I have an appointment to at least have it noted, and get my damn MercedesMe activated.

I got it also. I don’t know why a 2019 does but my 2013 CLS doesn’t?!?
