I've never adhered to a manufacturer's recommended break-in period but I've always allowed the fluids come up to operating temp before ever being aggressive with the car and it's always served me well.

My routine with new cars is break it for the first 1000 miles or at least try to. Most of the time I get to 500 or 750 miles. I get an oil change and good to go. Whether it's overkill or not, it's just how i've always done it.

Always allow the engine to break-in as per the manufacture. The break-in helps set the seal about the pistons. A new engine it tight however if you revv it before these set, you will lower the reliability of the engine over time. Plus remember your engine is boosted so it's super important to allow it to breakin.

Save the pain, and follow manufacturer guidelines. God forbid, you have a freak accident and the engine grenades..I can bet one of the first questions asked will be if you followed break in. Its only 1500kms...

So, it is impossible???
And to the OP... Let's be honest...Nobody responding are actually concerned since its not their car. So they will say whatever they want. You should just do what you can afford.

Either way, let the car get up to operating temperature regardless of what your break in method is.
I drive it like I stole and have NEVER had even the slightest issue.
