C43 Facelift Eurocharged Tune
Hi guys. So far I'm thoroughly enjoying new C43 Wagon, currently undergoing its running in period.
Once it's run in will be looking at a tune.
MSL performance in B'Ham , UK are a respected AMG tuner over here. For this model they offer the Eurocharged tune via remap or OBD, with est gains of 50 bhp / 40 lb ft torque.
Has anyone got this tune in a C43 Facelift and how's it run, what's the performance like?
Also if you have the controller, how's the ease of use?
Cheers.

Yeah, completely missed that, my bad. Still think it would b helpful to have requirement for Location. Many times it's not mentioned nor showing on left hand side of users info when on normal site.

I think there is a large lack of data for any piggybacks or other systems for the 19s. I was is the same boat, but decided on a JB4 and had it sent here to Germany. My stats have been all over the place. Have you tried the German W205 C63 C43 Facebook Page?

Doesnt EC claim 460bhp? Thats like 100hp over stock. EC agents in UK are only claiming 50bhp?
It should be able to achieve closer to like 70bhp i think....?

Yes exactly, the OP says he has a facelift C43 but was quoted only 50bhp over stock. Hench my question.
My 100 over stock was to highlight and contrast how low a claimed +50bhp is for a facelift

MSL who is the local EC tuner, quote a much more reserved 40 lb ft gain on the facelift. And they obviously dyno most of the cars having the software.

So have alot of other people who Dyno'd with EC tunes. Most were hovering around 410whp in drier environments. 390-400whp in more humid environments.
You can measure that against the claimed torque gains and add however many % drive train loss you believe it suffered based on the baseline run. Then you can see yourself if its really 500 torque or not.

Nice. Have you done any timing to back up the dynod gains, & do you feel a big difference when driving more importantly?
Good to see a UK member , are you based in Birmingham?

So here it is! Running on 97 RON ( couldn't get hold of 98/99RON) this morning, made some interested numbers. Gains of up to 50 whp and 100 lb ft torque over the orignal curve, but there's definitely some for improvement at the top end. However the slightly higher peak power lasts longer without tailing off and about 20whp higher. Dynojet readings are abit funny though, the before run made 352whp which seems high . Renntech for example say on their site they calculate 17%loss for 4matic Mercs.
....so according to that the stock made 411 and mapped it only made 427 bhp & torque of 520 lb ft.
On the road the difference is night and day however, the slug of mid range torque feels amazing and it's so much faster, and longer power peak is way tangible.
Overtaking is so much easier, a tangible difference, took 8-9 cars in a row without issue.
Butt dyno says a good half second quicker to 60 .
Waiting for the handheld to arrive from Eurocharged, the tuner will send the logs to them and see where improvements can made, as it definitely should be making more PEAK power, to go with the huge gains under the curve.

Dont they check the flash counter? At least that's what they do where I'm from, and they'll void the warranty when they see that it's been reflashed before.

Baseline on the 19 is higher but big difference in the after- more for the pre FL, Torque pretty much same.
I don't think the the tune Is optimised for the FL yet, lets wait and see for the update. Also the the sub par octane fuel could've made a difference.
