2000 e320 4matic
On the fence..
Hi everyone, I have owned a 1997 c230 and now a 2000 E320 4matic. Both under 100k miles still and clean! I have been looking at the 2017-18 c43 and boy oh boy I want one. The only problem is that I live in Chicago with bad weather and bumpy roads. I can use my E class in the snow but I worry about so many issues I see with other users here...someone push me over the edge!!
This would be my fastest car owned to date!

I live in Montreal, and I’m certain that our winters are about as rough as you can possibly find in North America. My old c450, even laced with completely finished winter tires (i wore them out beyond belief), took on the 3 foot snow storms like an absolute champ. Snow, slush, ice, you name it. The traction control coupled with a set of winter tires went well beyond my expectations. If it can take on winter in Quebec, I would hesitate if I were you.

I've driven my C43 (with snow tires) through some pretty horrible snow and ice conditions with no trouble, I don't think you have to worry about the snow performance with this car. I have, however, had to repair pothole damage to a wheel 3 times, and replace a tire once. I'd recommend not going with the 19" wheels if you live in a pothole city.

2018 C43 Cabriolet
I've been through a long Toronto winter with my c43 with no problems at all . I have the standard 18 inch wheels with all season tires ( no winters ) and despite the potholed roads find the suspension very comfortable for a sporty car . You will love it !

Thank you all for the replies, I'm currently torn between waiting for the 2019 to drop in price a bit or go with a 2018 and call it a day. i do like the facelift of the 2019 though. I've decided to keep my 2000 e320 4matic for the snow/winter.
