Change Celsius to Fahrenheit and vice versa
I have a 2017 C43 AMG. I am wondering if anyone know how to change the temperature units from Celsius to Fahrenheit. Thanks

Nope. I tried that. Apparently MB doesn't want you to be able to change that setting. I took my car to a MB dealership and they wouldn't do it. I also took my car to a local European car mechanic shop and they couldn't figure out how to change it.

I remember someone with this question a while ago. They purchased from Canada in the US and had the same issue. I don’t remember a resolution.

Where exactly is the Celsius showing? I had GLA45AMG that had a Celsius temp gauge in a US car. You could change MPH to KM and the outside temp from C to F but not the temp gauge as it was part of the dash. So not sure about your car.

I've spent hours looking at the owners manual and searching online. Temp is displayed in several places including the tablet display thing for outside temp and climate control and also in the dash center for engine temp. It is easy to go back and forth between km and miles.

I asked the same question when I got my 2017. The dealership told me it couldn’t be changed.
The coolant temp gauge on the dash shows in Celsius. If you scroll through the AMG menu you can get a reading in the center multifunction display that will show Engine oil temp and Trans oil temp both reading in Fahrenheit, these same readings can be found in your Multi-media screen in Celsius.
No consistency. I’ve been through every menu and the owners manual. If anyone figures out a way, I am also interested in hearing how to change it.

Star4life, thank you for the lead (infiniteautowerks.com).
I'd like to do the unit conversion from Fahrenheit to Celsius. I looked at Infinite Autowerks' website and the option is listed for Celsius to Fahrenheit, but very little other detail is given. I presume it can be done for Fahrenheit to Celsius if it can be done for Celsius to Fahrenheit. In your experience, when this is done, does the conversion look like it was done in the factory or are there quirks of some kind? The conversion is not cheap and I'd very much appreciate your comments.
I'm in Utah and I have 2 Mercedes vehicles (W205 & W213) that I would like to do this for. Both vehicles are US vehicles. Thank you very much in advance.

When Celsius is known, and Fahrenheit is desired, multiply by 2 and add 32.
Not exact but close. The actual ratio is 9/5 or nine fifths.
When Fahrenheit is known, and Celsius is desired, subtract 32, then divide by 2(actual factor is 5/9ths)

Thank you very much. I'm not even interested to see the temperature in Fahrenheit! Once you've worked in metric (SI), you realize all imperial units are cumbersome and archaic.

1,) 72 - 32 = 40
2.) 40/2 = 20
3.) 20 + 10% + 1% = 20 + 2 + 0.2 = 22.2 Celsius (the actual correct answer for 72 Fahrenheit is 22.2' Celsius) 🙂

Changing units for readouts of temperature, fuel efficiency, pressure, torque & power
I asked several times at more than a few Mercedes Benz dealerships if the units for readings of temperature, fuel efficiency, pressure, torque & power, could be changed from imperial to metric, and every time received the same answer that it couldn't be done. I'll admit therefore that I was a little sceptical when it was suggested in this thread that Infinite Autowerks in Michigan was able to do such a conversion. I can attest now that it is possible to have the conversion done for digital readouts, and perfectly at that. Infinite Autowerks did this remotely on 2 Mercedes vehicles (W205 & W213) we own and it works just like it came that way from the factory. The conversion can also be done the other way around, i.e. from metric to imperial.
I did not ask for any unit conversion on any analogue gauge on any of the 2 vehicles mentioned above. That may not necessarily always be possible - I don't know. On a different vehicle, our 2008 ML 320 CDI (W164) for instance, the OEM analogue speedometer can easily switch between km / km/h and miles / mph in the standard factory onboard menu.

When Fahrenheit is known, and Celsius is desired, subtract 32, then divide by 2 and then add another 11% (or 11.1'% if you like, which makes it perfectly accurate and is easy enough to do)
1,) 72 - 32 = 40
2.) 40/2 = 20
3.) 20 + 10% + 1% = 20 + 2 + 0.2 = 22.2 Celsius (the actual correct answer for 72 Fahrenheit is 22.2' Celsius) 🙂
