[ 1 ] COOLING SYSTEM / COOLING / TRANS OIL COOLER / Trans cooler
The temp display that's in the cluster changes from blue (cold) to white when the fluid finally reaches its "warmed up" temp - don't know what that is, but it seems just fine.
I don't recall hearing any cautions about hard driving before the trans is warmed up but suppose any servos and valves could operate more sluggishly.
The transmission definitely takes a bit more time to warm up. Normal behavior. But the good thing is, heat is the enemy of the transmission.
Someone recommended to me starting out in S to help speed things along (without beating on it, of course).
In a Alpine A110 i testdrove the Company told me the Transmission shouldnt exceed 105 Degrees.
In our Mini JCW with Doubleclutch theres nothing written in the manual and asking around at different engineers that work at Mini they told us everything above 100 degrees should make us slowly "calm down" and that it gets dangerous above 110.
Asking the same Question at AMG for our C43 was basically the same, on the lower end every one i asked told us that if the Transmission Oil Temp is above 60 Degrees Celsius we're free to go hard on it.
Apparently its "the high temps that kill a Trans. not the lows".

I do think in Sport+ it gets a little more aggressive in the shifting and downshift crackles once the transmission has warmed up
What I have noticed, if I turn off and come back in 2 hours, the engine has given some heat to the transmission.... Engine has cooled, obviously from the 90C's, but the transmission has picked up 10C to be in the 70's. It makes sense, I've never had a car with a transmission temp gauge and seen it firsthand.
