HRE FF04 Wheels with H&R lowering springs

I just had my HRE wheels installed in my 2019 C43. I also have H&R Springs and have used the HRE recommended 8.5X19 ET47 and 9.5X19 ET45 wheels with 235/40/19 (Front) and 265/35/19 (Rear). Fronts have the 20mm HRE required spacer for our cars. Does this look ok? Meaning no major risk of rub? Any insight will be helpful.

front fenders on 2019 don't really have much inner lip - should be fine.

i'm lower and having no issues rubbing on a similar setup. would be careful on large bumps on the road

Thanks for the feedback. I did notice that there is minimal lip at the top of the fender. Glad to hear you are even lower and do not have issue. I will absolutely be cautious with larger bumps. The issue for me is I live in PA and there are large bumps everywhere ;-)

Would getting 18mm spacers make a difference? HRE says the minimum spacer size on these wheels require 17mm so I figured if I get 18mm it may provide a little more clearance than the 20mm that are on there now. I am just not sure if I should be worried. Appreciate the feedback so far if additional people can chime in. mainly to make me feel better :-)

only testing will probably tell you. What's the brake clearance like? i wouldn't be surprised if a smaller spacer worked

i'm guessing the rear is less aggressive which would bother me more than anything

Yes, the rear is less aggressive but I do not think by much. Here is a photo.
Let me know what you think.

you could definitely run a smaller spacer - a 17.5mm would easily work (ECS Tuning has one in this size) a 15mm might work but can't guarantee that

but looks fine as is - if you're happy with it and not having rubbing issues.

Thanks for the information. I looked at ECS tuning's 17.5mm spacers but they say will not work with my car. Is that only due to the bolts? Is so I do not need the bolts so then they would work fine. Can you confirm this? Thanks again for all the support and feedback.

these - the bolts you are using should work without issue

Thanks I went a head and ordered the spacers. They were only 69.66 for the kit (I assume 2 of them) so I figured why not.

Now is the time to jump on them. We have the HRE FF04's (as well as FF01's and FF15's) for 25% off MSRP through the end of the month.

I’ve been running the same setup with a 20mm spacer upfront and 10mm spacer in rear for over a year. No issues

will 15mm spacers work in the rear on this setup?

I was thinking about getting those hre wheels for my new 2020 that I haven't received yet. Was wondering if I don't lower the car what would I need to make it work? I don't want to impact driving experience and handling for looks. Thanks!

On stock height you will need 17mm spacer for the front to clear the upright

Will this push the wheels out or will be the same as stock width for 19"wheels? If it pushes them out what does this do to handling and steering feel? I'd think you wouldn't want to disturb the wheel separation ratios between front and rear sets. Maybe I'm overthinking this but just want to be sure.

I have the HRE FF11 same spec as yours with the H&R sport springs. I'm running 20mm front and 15mm rear on stock R19 spec tires. Drove it in a snow storm tonight and no issues of rubbing at all. Everything clears

It will be close to stock imo. The HRE wheels will not clear suspension without use of spacer in front. The spacer is helping you clear the suspension. The rear fitment sits flush therefore you do not require spacers in the rear. These wheels are 1" wider for both front and back compared to stock 19" wheels. Hope this helps

Thanks! I didn't realize they were wider. Does anyone have comments on how the car rides on them assuming your using a non run flat? How is steering feel and handling at limit? Last question, what size tires are you using? I don't like the stretched look kind my understanding is it's not safe when doing hard turns.

yep

lowering is pretty necessary to avoid sticking out from front fender so I wouldn't recommend this fit without lowering the car
