HR VTF vs KW HAS
Hi All, I recently placed an order on a 2019 white c43 estate. This will be my first Merc, coming from an Audi SQ5.
Expected delivery is November/December, as you can imagine the wait is killing me.
I have a few mods planned, panamerica grill, lowering, rims, black badging and tune to start with.
I was wondering what the general consensus is as far as ride comfort with the KW HAS vs HR vtf. I'm only after 1-1.5 inch drop so I'm more interested in ride comfort rather than which goes lower.
I've been reading about there being some rake on the sedans when just using lowering springs. Does anyone know whether this also applies to the wagon?

@OP rake is an issue w/ just springs and would probably only be worse on the wagon as there probably more weight over the rear. Coupes look decent w/ the springs but would recommend something adjustable otherwise.
love my HAS setup - but can't compare the two.

I think no one so far has had both HAS and VTF, so it would be difficult to compare.
Those of us who have HAS would be able to measure the spring wire diameter, coil diameter, shape of spring, etc. and compare to factory springs to make a judgment as to whether it has a stiffer or softer rate. HAS springs are very similar in wire diameter and coil diameter from my own measurements. HAS has more coils, marginally smaller wire diameter, and very similar coil diameters. I would hazard a guess and say they have a slightly softer spring rate than stock.
Likewise, those with VTF can do the same. So far I have not seen an accurate/real photo of the VTF springs. If some owners can also make some measurements and take photos of the springs next to factory springs, we can make an informed judgment.
On another note, HAS have sets for Coupe/Sedan/Cabriolet/Estate. VTF only Coupe/Sedan. Strictly speaking, according to their catalogue.
