MST intake kit with additional new filters

Hello all,

I'm selling my MST intake system. I used it for $800 miles and decided to try BMC intakes. Its the complete kit with a set of used filters with 800 miles and a new set of brand new cone filters as well. I will ship anywhere in the US for $400. New from MST is about $525 shipped, savings of over $100 dollars and you will have them in less then a week (priority US postal service). Everything is included, straight bolt on!

Let me be the first one to ask a couple of questions.
Where are you located?
What was your experienced with the MST and why are you getting rid of it?
Im very interested in buying.

I'm located in CA, SF Bay area.

Installed the kit, butt dyno gave me the sense of a more responsive car at higher RPM, pull feels stronger but hard to tell. I have no data on performance gains or losses this is all pure driver feeling. You can definitely hear the difference inside the cab. I got a check engine light, it was corrected by contacting MST they pointed out that I had installed one of the sensor extensions backwards. After the correction car had no cell and worked perfectly.

I'm a car guy just like all of you. I'm just trying out parts for our platform, and giving you guys the opportunity to do the same at cheaper price. There is nothing wrong with the kit, as I mentioned the kit has a new set of filters from MST and the original ones I used.

I'm going to try the BMC drop in filters, the sale of these filters will get me the BMC.

Let me know if there are any further questions.

Alex

If you were starting over from the beginning would you go with bms or mst intakes?

I have BMS, MST and Drop-in filters. Currently on drop-in filters and will probably keep them.

Can I ask you as to why you’d keep the drop in filters? I just ordered my BMC drop in filters yesterday and should hopefully have them by end of next week.

Besides that, I was going to get downpipes and a tune... is there anything else you could recommend for our cars?

thank you

Mainly due to the sound, I couldn't tolerate the unsporty sounds they made, like bad (toilet) plumbing.

Tunes on the 2019 model are not perfected yet it seems. Pre-facelift models make a lot more gains from tunes than facelift models. Seems like they haven't cracked it yet.

I wouldn't say a lot more. Its about 20 whp difference at the top end. Torque is usually higher.

We have facelift C43s in the 11s with JB4. Once we added in the BCM performance became very similar to pre-factlift all in.

Hello and thank you for the info! I was actually considering of getting the jb4 with the BCM but was wondering how does this compare to a custom dyno tune? Especially if I want to add dp and later on get a intake? Are the maps constantly being updated or anytime I change hardware on the car I need to contact you guys to do a custom map?

thank you
