So who here has the highest mile C450/C43?

As far as issues go, I know the rotors need to be replaced more often than you would a typical car, what else are issues with this car? Can't forget the runcrap tires.
Personally I would run non run flats, but have a AAA insurance for towing/road side assistance.

ran over 45000 miles on rotors and pads w/o replacing - returned the car with the original equipment.

so - thats simply not true. driving style(stop light heroes) and traction control(turn it off) are going to be the defining moments for that.

drove it as if i stole it the whole time.

I can 2nd this. I'm on original rotors and front pads @ 38k miles. Rear pad wear indicator came on @ +/-25k miles if memory serves.

Installed JB4 at 8,000 miles and have been trouble free, knock on wood. The only thing I've had it in to the dealer was for an airbag recall and maps update.

How is the basic service/maintenance like oil changing, air filter change, cabin filter change?

Assuming you already have yourself a basic tool kit, an oil change requires an 8mm socket for the belly pan and 13mm wrench for the oil pan. Nothing more. Oil filter is easily accessible under the engine cover that pulls off with a quick tug. I just changed my oil Saturday morning in about 40 minutes, including retrieval and storage of my race ramps, jack stands, jack and tools, as well as a basic undercarriage inspection. All of this is even easier and faster if you prefer to use the vacuum extraction method through the dipstick tube. $42 in Mobil1 0W-40 from Walmart and $20 for a genuine MB filter from your parts counter or Amazon.

Air filters are a 5 minute job. Cabin air filter involves pulling glove box, but that's not as complicated as it sounds - another 5 minute job. There's nothing complicated about servicing the brakes either. If you can change the oil, you likely have everything needed to change rotors and pads.

Nice, thanks for the info. I have all the tools required for basic stuff like this, i did a cabin filter for my accord, which is also behind the glove box.

I am still in my 2016 C450 sitting at 67000 miles. Have had no issues with the car so far!

There was talk about carbon build up on c450 few years back, anyone recently opened the intake manifold to see the build up?

Do we need to do yearly walnut/CRC valve cleaning is what I am trying to find out.

I had to replace pads and rotors on all 4 corners at 26k miles. Front tires are done at this mileage too. Rears look about 70%.

I second the ease of oil, oil filter, and air box filter replacements. I've done them all and It's easy. I use an extraction pump because it's a hell of a lot easier and faster than climbing under the car.

Is the cabin air filter really that easy? I've heard that it is a pain to swap as the cover has electrical wires attached that don't stretch far as well as the cabin filter itself being quite large and requiring to be inserted at an awkward angle...

From what I've read, most recommended to take to the dealership and have professionals do it, even go as far as not taking it to auto shops as their mechanics won't be as friendly to your wires ect.

This scared me enough that my AC still smells like **** after the summer haha...

It's pretty easy. The wires unclip easily, and the filter does need to be persuaded a little, but it's no big deal.

All in all, maybe a 20 minute job.

Mine is at 85kkm and still on the original rotors. Only issue with the car was a cracked intercooler causing it to slowly spill the low temperature coolant into the engine and resulting in a “soft” limp mode without any warning lights. Cost around 1500$ to repair.
