Got my new C43!
New to Mercedes, new to AMG, new to this forum :-)
I just took ownership (leased) of a new 2020 C43 AMG Coupe, traded in my 2017 BMW 440i Convertible. The car is gorgeous and I am still getting used to driving it, very different than the BMW. They only had one car available, so I did not have a choice of packages. The color was exactly what I wanted (silver with red leather interior) but I do wish it had the Heads Up Display and maybe the AMG Sports Seats (though I love the red seats in this car).
It shifts differently and feels bigger but I only have 40 miles on it, I need to drive more before posting impressions and/or questions. One this that annoys me, is that the button that turns the engine off when you stop, can not remain turned off once I start my car, it always starts with this function on. Oh well...
Anyway, super excited!
This is it, still in the dealership...

Nice looking ride. Just picked up a leftover C43 coupe with many options. You will find it different from your BMW and it does take some getting accustomed to. Really impressed with mine over the first few hundred miles. Good luck and Happy Motoring.

You can disable the eco start/stop by disconnecting the aux battery wire clip from the negative battery terminal. There should be only one clipped wire attached there.

Nothing for past 6months on 2018. The eco start/stop button will stop working right after turning the car on and roll away.
The way I see it is that after I got a new battery warrantied, I am saving the life of the battery, starter and alternator by not using it when it have to instead using bit more gas.

2019 AMG C43
I came to my 2019 C43 sedan (need 4 doors) from a 2016 BMW 340i. The AMG C43 just has so much more performance. In my 340i I always drove in Sport +...you had to...otherwise the car just felt slow. In my C43...Comfort = Sport + in the 340i !!! Now I only use Sport + about 15% of the time. On weekends when I really want some fun. Otherwise, plenty of power on tap just in Comfort.
I have the Individual settling for Comfort except I have my PE exhaust turned on...hopefully yours has the PE exhaust option...just adds so much driving pleasure!!

Coming from a Lexus IS, I think it's comparable. Sport+ is certainly more stiff as you would expect, but I think Comfort in my C43 vs. Comfort in my Lexus IS are nearly the same. Then again, I ride Ducati Superbikes, so "stiff" and "uncomfortable" are relative terms. I did notice a marked improvement when I swapped out the run-flats for non-run-flats last week.

Thank you! I have been enjoying it tremendously. Even though I am leasing it, I am still breaking in the engine as per the user’s manual. So I haven’t been pushing it hard at all (up to 4500 RPM and 85MPH). I can’t wait to get to 1000 miles...

How did you like the 440i? The only reason im considering it is that its almost 10k cheaper than a c43. But the c43 is a higher echelon and bmw's answer is the m340i.
Keep the diameter of the wheels at 18" and ditch the run crap tires and get michelin ps4 (or even PS4S tires) and it will be a comfortable ride.

OP, I'm stuck between a 440i gran coupe and a c43 sedan. After extensive research the c43 might be the way to go, better mpg, more power, more rear leg room. This will be my daily driver and sometimes i like to sleep in the back seat.. im also in the bay area.

When it comes to interior, the C43 is light-years ahead of the 440i. The material quality is top-notch and the cockpit is SO much more advanced. Then again, I am comparing a 2020 C43 to my 2017 440i. I believe that the 2020 440i are a little better in this regard.
I don't think you can really go wrong with any 440i. The C43 just feels like a step-up. I am happy to meet with you in the Bay Area if you want to check out the car.
