How many sedans have performance seats?

Seems like this is a very difficult option to find?

If you are trying to find one on a dealer lot with them, then yes you may have a tough time finding one. As I understand it, dealers generally don't order the Performance seats as most customers avoid them due to comfort, ingress and egress concerns. I think those who want them generally end up custom ordering. I personally think they are some of the best seats I've ever had, but I can see those who stray far from the 5'9"/~170lbs reference European male that cars are designed for might not find them comfortable.

AMG GTS , AMG C43
The performance seats in a C43 look very similar to the standard seat in our AMG GTS. I love the seat in the GTS, but my wife says it's not comfy for longer trips. Since the C43 is our daily driver, (and her car) we didn't get the perf seats in it. The standard C43 seat is more comfy but much less supportive than the seats in my car. Too bad they couldn't give us the style of the perf seats with a bit more comfort. If you plan to track the car or you do a lot of twisties, get the perf seats.

They are pretty much the same in all models, except from what I remember, in the GTS they lack the seat cushion extension, which is something that I didn't like. I always have the seat cushion extended and it makes a big difference to have support for my upper legs all the way close to the knee. I'm 5"11' and just shy of 200lbs. The performance seats are very comfortable for a male my size who isn't completely out of shape. I've driven over 12 hours in a single day so far as I do a lot of grand touring and no real comfort issues, other than just normal fatigue from sitting that long w/o stretching my legs much. My wife on the other hand is a tiny 5"1' and she pretty much has issues in any car seat. The primary issue with the performance seats is the fixed headrest that's too high, but I got her this neck pillow that puts support at the proper height.

Perf seats with the MB tex / Alcantara material seem common enough but the Designo Nappa leather performance seats are pretty rare. I'm assuming that's because of the price.

My 2019 was special ordered with the performance seats and white nappa leather. In my opinion, it is the best part of the car.

Me too. It was actually one of my "must have" options when I ordered the car and it's a decision I absolutely do not regret.

It will depend on if you will be driving your car daily or now and maybe for longer distances. The sports seats are harder than the comfort seats and in the end does not increase the value of the car.
