C450 Mods/Tuner

Hey guys I’m new to the thread. I just did my first mod which was just a muffler delete. Love it so far. I’m looking to buy a tune. Specifically a JB4 or Dinan. Is anyone selling one before I buy brand new and also any other mod recommendations??

Depends on what you're looking for, If you want more power, spend a little more and get catless downpipes and AMR Tune. If you want a little bit of power, then yea JB4, Dinan and those piggyback tunes are great, also know that if you are looking for burbles and pops from exhaust that those piggyback tunes cannot give you burbles. I have DME tuning with armytrix catless dps and its a whole new car experience.

How much did the whole set up run you? I’m not looking to spend too much rn but will for sure upgrade later to a flash tune. Also I’m satisfied with the current burbles and pops, will they get removed with a piggyback tune?

JB4 is the only way to go for tuning. We've got a solid intake too if you want some sound/boost response.

JB4 won't remove/interfere with your exhaust sound or burble.

Understand, my setup costs around $2500 including taxes, tune, downpipes itself and installation for downpipes.

No but as all of our intakes are made in the USA it's guaranteed corona-virus free.

JB4 - Great if you don't want to flash the car. I really enjoyed it, makes great numbers and a great support team. There is one a few posts down, just make sure to add bluetooth: https://mbworld.org/forums/c450-c43-...lass-cars.html

AMR - still waiting to see some dragy numbers: https://mbworld.org/forums/c450-c43-...ck-turbos.html

To imply JB4 only provides "a little bit of power" is incredibly misleading. Folks with fully customized, car and condition specific maps have had no issue hanging with the flashed cars the last time I checked. Yes, some flashes allow some dubious "features" and CEL deletes for downpipes, but those have proven only marginal gains, albeit with some sound benefits. Nothing beats the power-to-value ratio the JB4 offers. Also, no, you will not lose the stock exhaust profile you have by going with JB4.

C43 with a JB1 was the first to run 11.9's when flash tunes were running low 12's
JB4 cars ran deep in the 11's and trapped 116-120+mph.
JB4 is already discounted around 50% of the price of a flash tune.

However,
JB4 will not remove the top speed governor, eliminate a cat-less DP CEL, do burnout mode, burble or gargle.

I have a custom true duals exhaust setup, its a little bit too raspy at high rpms so i might add a 3rd muffler. As of now, i have magnaflow mufflers, x pipe to downpipes.

Correct, essentially my setup is straight piped cause the mufflers are straight through mufflers. So i would add another muffler to reduce that rasp and give it that deeper tone.

Do any tune up options listed above apply to a 2019 e450 cab?

I am looking for some performance and sound upgrade, something that can be switched back to stock when my lease becomes due. Had experience with OE Tuning, did the ECU remapping on a 2016 e400, liked it a lot, just wish I could switch that tune to my next car.

Good afternoon Sukhmanc450. I've got a 2017 c43 with a resonator delete, Rentech bov/spacers/adapters whatever people would like to call them, with a JB4. Sounds are great with the exhaust in sport plus, the drone is comfort is a little much, but I'm 22 so that doesn't bother me what so bit. The jb4 was so easy to install routing it through the firewall, took my brother and i 25-30 minutes to set it up. I bought the jb4 unit and the bluetooth module for $300 used only about 2 months ago.. I dont have any numbers to share but i felt a difference right away. if you any questions about something, lmk
