Sport handling and Traction Control completely off

I did a search in the C43 forum and only found 3 threads which were a couple years old. I was wondering if the behavior has changed for the 2020 C43 and just wanted to get everyone's feedback to see what the general behavior is like.

It's currently summer and I'm on the stock tires so I did not really feel a difference between Sport handling (in Sport+ mode) or with traction control completely off.

Is traction control and ESC all combined into one setting in this car or is there a different way to turn off traction control and another way to turn off ESC?
Is there a difference between holding the traction control for a few seconds to completely turn off traction control compared to turning it off in the vehicle settings itself?
Also, what is this "dyno mode" I've seen some people talk about as well?

Still the same 3 stage ESP system and TC is part of ESP. Sport Handling mode relaxes TC and yaw control, basically allows some drift angles (although difficult with AWD) and some tire slip (again difficult with AWD, unless slippery). The off setting turns both yaw control and TC off, but yaw control turns back on whenever you step on the brakes. So if you are sliding out of control you can step on the brakes and ESP will help you stabilize the car. There's no other way to turn off TC on the C43. The 2019+ C63S has a 9 stage TC, so once ESP is off one can manually chose one of 9 levels of TC between completely off and completely on. Not sure what vehicle settings you are talking about, but I believe you can select the ESP mode in the Individual drive mode in the C43. On the 2019+ C63S that option was replaced with the new AMG DYNAMICS setting, which is an active chassis dynamics control system and an extension of ESP, but the C43 doesn't have it. Dyno mode turns off ABS, TC, ESP and the car's safety systems and I think power steering to make sure none of the car's system interfere while the car is on a dyno.

Got it. So if I'm trying to get the most power from my car, without traction control interfering, holding down the traction control button to shut that off completely is sufficient and I do not ever need to use dyno mode when I'm actually driving?

No, it doesn't. The 4-MATIC system in the C43 is a fixed torque split system. 4-MATIC+ in the newer models has a fully adjustable torque split and is nearly 100% to the rear under normal circumstances and only sends power/torque to the front if traction requirements call for it. In addition, some models have drift mode, which completely decouples the front axle. The C43 has none of that. It has the older fixed 4-MATIC system, but I believe the FL has a slightly more rear biased split. I believe only 2% or something like that, though.

I'm under the impression that the 2019 FL and up have a 31/69 split (rear-biased)

That sounds about right. For some reason I'm under the impression that the PFL was slightly less rear biased by a couple of percent, but a quick google search seems to to bring up the same 31/69 torque split as the FL.
