2020 C43 Wagon
S205 Wagon Lowering/Spacers

Hi All,

Just looking for confirmation if anyone has used the H&R 28811-2 springs with 12/15mm spacers on a C43 S205 wagon?
I just want to make sure they work properly as some sites say they are made for the wagons and others say sedan only.

Thanks!

I will be installing the wagon specific H&R springs (28811-4) with 12mm front and 15mm rear spacers in the coming weeks. Will let you know how it goes.

Awesome thanks, looking forward to seeing it!
Where did you order from? I'm just finding a few spots in Germany with the 28811-4 and will most likely be ordering them tomorrow.

Found the wagon springs on eBay. Seller was tunershop_usa. Good price and arrived in 3 days.

Curious what you're paying for install? Not sure what to expect price wise.

Installing myself. I’ve always done my own work. If getting it installed at a shop, expect to pay 4 to 6 hours of labor.

Installed spacers (10mm/15mm), wheel studs and H&R wagon springs (28811-4) yesterday. VERY pleased with the result.

Looks unreal, nice work.

I was planning to hold off on spacers until the springs settled but your stance is making me second guess that.

Thanks!

I feel spacers are mandatory if running the stock rims on a lowered car.

I would love to see the difference without the spacers.
Also I have seen that the saloon HR springs settle a litte lower at the rear than the wagon specific ones do?
Any more info would be appreciated as I'm planning on changing my alloys and suspension to get the look I would like, But I also want the original wheels to be available to me once lowered.

I personally wouldn’t use sedan springs. My springs have settled to be the same tight finger gap front and rear. The wagon is heavier in the rear than the sedan so I’d be worried the rear would look saggy with sedan springs.

2020 C43 AMG Wagon
Advice from anyone that knows better

Looking to do a full set up on a new 2020 C43 AMG Wagon. Was thinking about a lowering kit (Springs) , 20" Wheels and slightly lower profile tires as to not increase the overall diameter. Also wondering if wheel spacers are a preference or will they inhibit wheel travel in the fender. Quite honestly, I am really not wanting the car to look like a "tuner" I want to keep it classy with the Benz AMG pedigree.

Any advice you could all offer would be appreciated.

I find that wheel spacers will exacerbate crabbing issues. When the offset is lower and closer to stock you get less of it.

Check out my build thread. https://mbworld.org/forums/c450-c43-...ld-thread.html

I'm running 20" with lower profile tires and H&R springs. If you want 20" rims, you're looking at aftermarket in which case, you won't need spacers if you get proper offsets.

Hi guys. First post on here as i’ve just bought my first ever mercedes c43 wagon. it’s in desperate need of some 20” wheels, spacers & lowering, hence me coming across this thread. love the look of yours and the stance is looking sweet! i see there’s basically 2 options for springs. h&r and eibach pro. i’ve used both on previous cars but just wondering what people’s general thoughts are on which is best on the s205 c43. i don’t want the slammed look that’s too much for my liking. also what offset do i need for the flush look?
excited to get her looking how i like it. don’t pick the car up until friday but i need to be on top of things.
cheers guys. i’ll be spending a bit of time on here from now on.

^ congrats! You’ll love it. All the info you’ll need as far as wheel specs are in my build thread and here:

https://mbworld.org/forums/c450-c43-...ent-guide.html

As far as springs, I don’t have any experience with Eibach, but have used H&R on my last 3 cars. IMO, perfect ride height and great performance. Can’t go wrong with H&R.

thanks for your help and the link. a very interesting read. it seem most people play it safe with 19’s although i do like 20’s myself and will try for them.
do you or anyone for that matter know whether my 2017 s205 is the same as your 2020. i don’t want to use your set up as a guide only to find i have issues due to a different model year.
wheel choice on these seems much harder than any cat i’ve previously owned imo.

cheers

i’ve chosen the wheels i’m going for i think. just want to check before i order.
they are 8.5/9.5 et 45/47. so i believe i’ll need a 15mm spacer on the front & only around 5 on the rear. i plan to lower with H & R also.
mid somebody could please let me know if this is good to go i’d be very grateful. thanks
