It has been just over a month since I ordered my FI Exhaust, and it finally arrived at my local shop last night. Had it installed today and just drove approximately 30 miles home. I am truly amazed how well the valves reduce sound when closed (needed for my very early departures for work each day). With the valves open it is pops, bangs, farts and crackles. Despite the dent in the wallet, I could not be happier. All the videos I have seen online pay no justice to this exhaust, as I think the camera clips sound to the point that the difference / impact is lost. I will post some pics tomorrow.

I also have a FI exhaust.

One of the best exhausts for this car if it didn't come with the PE. Quality and sound. Wait till you get some DP's and a tune. Sounds 10x meaner.

I have the RPM control set to fully open @ 2800, so there is zero drone while cruising and quiet as a mouse when I leave/enter my neighborhood. Never have to manually touch the remote.

You noticed there are never any used ones for sale?

Totally agreed. I am already tuned with a stage 1, downpipes on order with an install date in the next few weeks (along with a stage 2 tune). Can’t wait!

Which DP's are you getting? Different DP's will make the exhaust sound different. Diameter plays a part. Narrower will give your more farts/crackle when you let off the gas, but it will be a higher pitch. Larger diameter will give u a lower tone, but less farts/crackle when you let off the gas. Thats my experience with this exhaust for ur reference.

It took awhile, but catless downpipes came in yesterday and were installed this morning. Picked up the car and drove it to get the stage 2 tune uploaded. Very happy to have the valves to quiet her down when necessary, as this thing is LOUD.

How does the car feel now being stage 2 with the exhaust and down pipes power wise compared to stage 1?
Also, how loud is the cold start compared to stock exhaust?

The car rips and feels more responsive across the powerband. I had it stage 1 tuned for over a year, so I feel like I got to know it quite well. Stage 2 is a noticeable upgrade.

With the valves open at start, cold starts are absurdly loud.

I’m confused, wouldn’t fully open give more drone or did you mean closed?

Based upon the quoted language in your post, I am not sure what you are referencing. Nonetheless, valves open = loud. Valves closed = quieter.
