JB4 Map 0,2,3 C43 2020
Am I confused or am I using a tune that is giving me stock numbers? The first is Map 0. Second is Map 2. Third is Map 3. Can someone help as to what is going wrong?

You are faster with each map change, not sure what you are asking. 4.0 is a notable improvement over 4.5 0-60.
Let the car learn the map for about 30 miles of driving before making runs.
What fuel are you using? How are you launching?
0-60 times is heavily driver + tire dependent. Take some runs that are 60-130 (takes driver out of equation for most part) or even a custom 40-100 if you dont have the road for 60-130 and compare those across the maps.

Best weather from what ive heard on our cars is 45-55*F. Im in Florida so i wont be able to test that theory until that one week in Feburary...

Weather has a lot to do with it too. Best I have gotten is 3.9 0-60 in 80*F heat so i may not be the best to ask for launching. Hard brake boost to build up some psi on the gauge (2k-2200rpm) and make sure traction control is fully off. Looks like the first run you did traction control pulled some power back or you didnt break boost.

0-60 is all launch and takes practice to perfect. 1/4 mile trap speed are a better indication of what the tuning itself is doing for you.

But if the most aggressive map is allowing you to reach 60mph half a second faster than stock (map 0), then the JB4 is probably working.
Also you have a facelift model, which is notorious for not responding well to tunes. It is widely known that pre-facelift 43's are much more tuneable (450s maybe even slightly more so).

Weather, Tires, Altitude all play a big role in how fast your car will accelerate.

Your launches seems decent given your 0-10 times. Looks like you’re falling flat in 2nd or 3rd. From memory I think the my2020’s had a lot of throttle closure between shifts. Best part of JB4 is logs! Post some logs!!

I see at around 2-3rd gear it’s dropping boost heavily. Is there anyway around that?

Enable throttle, ign1, hp_f and trims.
already tho it looks like boost is dropping to ecu requested.. which means throttle has dropped below threshold and JB4 has stopped boosting (stops when throttle drops below a certain amount so your not 3psi all the time). Looks like typical my2020 issue. You have bcm?

The BCM wouldn't matter much, if at all, on a pre-facelift. The reason that it helps the facelift models is due to wastegate duty cycle, and the JB4 is requesting boost that the stock WG without the BCM won't deliver. On pre-facelift cars, you don't have that problem, so the BCM is just leveling the playing field.

Yeah you’ve got big ol’ throttle closure coming up to your 3rd gear. Not sure which map you’re using but reducing boost in higher rpm might help. But I think this was the normal problem 2020’s had. Someone from BMS should see this soon or someone else with 2020 can chime in and explain how they fixed it

It was connected exactly as instructions stipulated and has covered almost 10,000 kms or 6,100 mi ago and works perfectly.
BTW there are 2 plugs from the JB4 unit left unplugged in my 2020 C43 install application, if that helps answer your question.

Boost dropping by gear fix?
Personally have my fuel and duty bias set at 100 all the way through the rpm graph, also have my boost target at 25 for every option. There’s also a setting you can adjust where it doesn’t cut boost when the car shifts. Stock its set to 60 I have it at 0. Cars on e50 mix feels like a bat outta hell.

MBWorld Fanatic!
is that how it’s supposed to be or is that how u got it to work correctly?
thx

Green Connector is for your fuel rail pressure sensor, it’s hidden behind your driver side intake box, there instructions show it. It’s meant for users running e85 Mixtures.

Yep, BMS told me no need to hook up when using just 93. I did try to hook it up, but couldn’t get the connector and everything to fit when I tried to reinstall the intake. Not enough ‘real estate’.
