I totally agree, comfort suspension feels too floatey when at higher speeds.

Same, my biggest frustration is that when she’s in the car and I flick from Efficiency to sport+ the centre display announces it to everybody in the car! Wish I could turn that off…

You mean that until now you have been missing out on the mad thrills of spinning out of control? Your E63 has more than enough power to do it, too. All-wheel drive by itself can't handle everything you throw at it. Check out the YouTube channels dedicated entirely to videos of Ford Mustangs spinning out into side walks, etc., when leaving Cars 'n Coffee events. Enjoy!

You can turn it off, but you have to turn the whole center display off. She would notice that, unless you get her used to it. Tell her its too distracting, or such. See my comment above about the wisdom of turning off the t/c. (And you mean she doesn't object to max. power runs with the t/c on? You've got a rare wife; don't spoil it.)

Your post is a bit of a logical leap from what was advised. No one said turn T/C off and drive like a moron. Shutting T/C off is the first thing many of us do when getting into our cars each day. Obviously, keep all nannys on if you do not feel comfortable in your abilities or that of your car.

You can...it's in the settings somewhere. You'll still get a notice in the instruments that you will have to X out of every time, but it doesn't take over the big screen.

I have Individual set up :
Traction Control Sport setting (you can't save OFF in Individual)
Sport + Suspension
Sport Transaxle
Exhaust Quiet

I'll toggle off TC if I'm messing around (it also deactivates Active Braking), and toggle suspension either Sport + or Comfort for bad roads-almost never use "Sport" for suspension-why is it there ?
I never drive the car in Comfort Transaxle, it appears to be written to the EPA cycle, not driving-softest gas pedal ever
Sport and sport plus engage throttle normally.
Sport Plus holds the gears too long for cruising, I tend to upshift on the paddle when using it.... I think Sport is the actual "normal" mode for driving, as in the one the engineers wrote for day to day.

Mandatory foible...you can't engage cruise control this way...it won't engage in any mode where traction control isn't fully on.
