C43 2017 Custom exhaust
Could someone help me out. I have a 2017 c43 with non-performance exhaust. I want to make it sound like the AMG-performance exhaust loud mode. What would be the best way to do this in a custom exhaust shop? (muffler delete with hpipe) or (resonator delete with hpipe)

I have the FI Exhaust on my non-PE c43, could not be happier. Definitely louder than the stock performance exhaust, but with valves to make it as quiet as stock when you want to roll ninja style. Extra super loud if you also pair it with downpipes. Not a cheap option though. If you are just going for volume and do not care about valves like the stock performance exhaust, a muffler delete is a cheap option (though I have no opinion on the sound/sound quality since I did not go this route).

since ours is a turbo engine the turbos muffle the exhaust sound a bit. you need to open it up. i chose a catted downpipe because its does not sound buzzzz at high rpm like de-cat pipes (and sounds deeper as well)
i had the same issues and installed these: Mercedes-AMG | Catted Downpipes (logosengineeringmotorworks.com)

thank you for the response. Could I please get a video of the sound of your car? Revs in park would be most preferred but anything will work that allows me to hear them!

1) Your best bet is to do a Resonator delete only. I've heard every possible combination of exhaust mod on the Non-Performance Exhaust and this will be your best bet. Sounds much better than a muffler delete.
2) Will need resonator with DPs though.

i have high flow catted downpipes with no resonator, the reason i went with high flow vs. uncatted is that the sound that uncatted makes is more drone-y/ with buzz. with my high flows its deep and smooth (have no resonator)

what downpipes do you have?
Without buying an entire new exhaust system:
1) Your best bet is to do a Resonator delete only. I've heard every possible combination of exhaust mod on the Non-Performance Exhaust and this will be your best bet. Sounds much better than a muffler delete. I started off with a resonator delete only and really enjoyed how the car sounded, much better than OEM. This has been discussed plenty on this forum, just do some searching.
2) If you plan on adding downpipes in the future, you will want to make sure to put your resonator back on at this point though, or you will get horrible rasp issues. Make sure to save any OEM parts just in case. Once I flashed to stage 2 and added downpipes with the resonator delete, the sound was wayyyyy to raspy — very bad. I welded the resonator back and it sounded normal again. However, I still wanted some more sound after adding the resonator back, so I did a muffler delete and it sounds great now. There is drone for sure, but it doesn't bother me. Current setup = Stage 2 flash w/ downpipes and muffler delete (resonator is on) and it sounds awesome.
