Huge jb4 questions
Hey guys, so I purchased a jb4 second hand, followed the install instructions and did a lot of research but not finding the answers to my questions so hopefully you guys can help.
first I got a check engine light and a code p0238 and it won’t clear through the app
next I took it for a drive last night and tried map 0 and map 1 and both are very slow. I’m not sure if I have to download new maps or if they’re saved from the previous person or if it’s my check engine light giving the problem? Any suggestions help

So update. Tried unhooking the battery hoping it would reset, still had the check engine light and no power I then disconnected the whole thing and tucked it. Then took my reader and cleared the code. Car runs fine now but need to see what I’m doing wrong

I’d bet you have a connection wrong, or not fully seated somewhere. This happened to me once after removing for dealer visit and reinstall afterwards. I’d uninstall, drive to confirm normalcy, then start fresh again.

So I unhooked the battery kept the key away and hooked everything back up. No check check engine light but still no power. It’s not boosting at all and I feel like an idiot but thought I’d have at least stock power while running it. Any ideas?

Here's a reference for the different JB4 maps on the C43:
JB4 Map Guide as of v6 firmware:
Map 0: Disables tuner
Map 1: Up to 4psi over stock peak, suitable for all 91 octane+ fuels
Map 2: Up to 5psi over stock peak, suggested for 93octane+
Map 3: Up to 5.5psi over stock peak, slightly more aggressive version of map2
Map 4: Up to 6psi over stock peak, suggested for E30+ or unleaded race gas mixtures
Map 5: Up to 7psi over stock peak, holding more boost to redline, suggested for E30+ or unleaded race gas mixtures
Map 6: User definable map, boost over stock entered on user adjustment page
Map 7: WMI (water/meth injection) progressive map for BMS FSB integration
Map 8: Low boost VALET map
