2020 C43 JB4 Dyno Testing

Hey guys,

Was able to get a 2020 facelift C43 model in for a little test and tune fun!

Best run 100% stock on 91 octane was 340whp/350wtq.

JB4 (no BCM) on 91 octane testing was 380whp/412whp on map2. Really solid gains under the curve overall.

Next we decided to mix in 4 gallons of E85 for ~E30 and installed a BCM. Power jumped up to 400whp/488whp using (new) map5.

Finally we got to what we really wanted to test. The BMS intake using our new V3 heat shields (in development now), and got power up to 419whp/496wtq. I attached a log of that run for reference. Boost is up there at 21psi peak tapering to 15psi but nothing too crazy. Probably more in it next go around.

Finally for kicks we disabled the BCM so we could see what the likely max facelift power is without it. Peak was 413whp/447wtq but you could see the massive torque reduction down low in the charts. The BCM does wonders for facelift cars running E30!

We were not able to test 91 octane + BCM but I don't expect it would do a ton. Maybe on 93 octane... Next time!

Amazing numbers for just the piggyback, e30, and 91 octane.

Interesting, good gains with the intake.
I'd love to see what mine would make on E30.
Only run it on UK 98/99 RON. ( About 95 octane)

Great results! My JB4 and BCM show on truck for delivery today! This thread is at perfect time to get me even more excited. Good results and I’ll update results on my 2021 C43 coupe on 93 octane with Draggy if all goes well and weather cooperates this weekend.

Awesome results! Anybody wanna take the time to show me step-by-step how to install the BCM? I bug the guys at Burger tuning way to much.
I installed the Jb4 and map 1 and shave 4tenths of 1/4 mile. Map 2 with octane booster feels sluggish and hesitates to shift. I let them know about the issue and they said to install the BCM to fix it. Which would also allow me to run 85 from map 3.

There are a couple photos in the C43 thread on n54tech. Pretty easy stuff.

We considered it but decided for now to leave the BCM as a separate add on for those who want it. BCM attachment to JB4 is super easy, just one wire in to the JB4 harness. And the solenoid connector itself is also really easy to reach.

Should I get BCM if I only plan to run map 1 or 2? Plan to run the car stock, except for maybe an intake
