Pulling fuses - any special procedure?

The C43 I'm buying has one active code stored, and in this thread another car with the same code resolved it (a couple years ago) with replacing a bad fuse. I was wondering if I start pulling fuses will I cause more problems? Do I need to put the car in some kind of maintenance mode before yanking fuses related to safety features? I assume these modern cars are never truly "off" and that some current is running through some circuits all the time. Thanks.

Downloaded the owner's manual from https://www.mbusa.com/en/owners/manuals and found my own answer. Owner's manual just says:
