Downpipe Gasket Replacement

I recently installed some modalworks catless downpipes I found on marketplace for cheap and have a really bad exhaust leak. My issue is that I can't figure out how to remove the bottom downpipe gasket, it just flakes away when I pick at it and it doesn't come out clean at all. I tried for like 30 minutes to remove it and it seems to be pressed in really tight or something and will not come out. I was reading online a few people recommended to replace the downpipe gaskets but nobody had posted any info on which gaskets to replace (there appear to be 2 different gaskets, one on top of the downpipe where it meets the turbo and one on the bottom where it meets the flex pipe, however my car didn't appear to have the upper gasket or I didn't see it) or how to remove the gaskets in the first place to replace them. I was hoping somebody here had replaced those gaskets at one point and could offer some insight into how I would go about doing it, as the exhaust leak is pretty bad and audible and quite smelly. Thanks.

I dont recall either end of my downpipes having a gasket. Its just metal to metal V band clamp connection. Maybe they added the gasket on the C43 or one with PE?

I hope this image attaches, we do have a metal seal ring on both sides of the cat
#50, #30 would be on the turbo side

Mine does have a metal gasket on the bottom, it’s a c400 so it should be the same as all the other M276 engines. I didn’t see a gasket on the top though.

Yes I saw the EPC and ordered all the gaskets but my issue is removing the old gaskets, they don’t come out easily. And mine didn’t appear to have an upper gasket.

Just spoke with one of our techs here. He says just take a hook/fine tipped screw driver and pick it out, its compressed into the pipe some. with the amount of heat cycles it sees. he says they rip apart so just pick away on it... if the vehicle doesn't have them like you say.. i would say it could cause the exhaust leak

Thanks. I’m gonna keep picking at it until I get it out. Hopefully it’s not much more. Really annoying but I guess there’s no better solution to seal the exhaust.
