Trip Mileage
Just got back from a trip to Newfoundland from Ontario….
The trip went very well, the car performed better than expected. 7.7 litres per 100km (30.55 U.S. MPG) average for the whole trip, 7700km (4800 miles), I’m very happy with that.

I'm also surprised by the numbers I'm getting from the C43. It's surprisingly efficient.
I also have some comparisons from my previous vehicle... Quite an upgrade
2018 C43:
Highway/Freeway:
~30-31 mpg on light traffic highway / freeway
Commute:
~27-29mpg, highway with some heavy traffic in the morning/evening.
On my previous car, 2000 Honda Accord EX V6.
Highway/Freeway:
~28 mpg
Commute:
~26 mpg

My results are from the trip computer in the car via the Mercedes Me app. The numbers in the app match what is in the car display. And my numbers concur with skylashtravels.
Admittedly, most, probably 90%, of the mileage of this trip was highway driving, I set the cruise control to 110 kph (68 mph) and go.
In and around town where I live, well, the mileage takes a beating, stop and go is a real killer.

I am jealous of the MPG figures posted in this thread. I have had my c43 for just over 3 years - which was tuned the first week and at stage 2 for over two years on e30. I do very little highway / freeway driving and have spirited drives everywhere I go. All said, my car’s lifetime average MPG over 49,000 miles is 15.4 MPG.

Now im in a BMW M550i V8 with 523hp and im doing 20 mpg.

And yes, my mileage is based on the entire 7700km (4800 mile) trip. As I mentioned, the whole trip was about 90% highway driving at 110km per hr (68 miles per hour)

For me personally, it is a challenge to see how much I can stretch my litre (or gallon, what ever you want to call it) of gas....but when I need it, the C43 goes when I need it to, without hesitation. That's what I like most about it, the power is there when required.
I don't have the AMG performance exhaust, I heard one with it and I don't like it, but that's just me. I prefer the low throaty growl of the stock exhaust, as opposed to the spits, pops, and crackles of the AMG performance exhaust.
I've tried Sport & Sport + just to try it out, but the car lives in Comfort mode. I guess that's what I get for being older than probably most here who have AMG's.

Here in Canada we use the metric system, so for gas mileage it is Litres per 100km, which I converted to US MPG. So 7.7 litres per 100km works out to 30.55 U.S. MPG. US gallons are slightly smaller than Imperial (British/Canadian) gallons: 1 US gallon = .83 Imperial gallon. Conversely 1 Imperial gallon = 1.2 US gallon. So 7.7 litres per 100km is 36.7 Imperial MPG.
And yes, my mileage is based on the entire 7700km (4800 mile) trip. As I mentioned, the whole trip was about 90% highway driving at 110km per hr (68 miles per hour)

2017 C43 Sedan with RaceChip set to full performance ... normal driving mode is individual with drive-train in sport and suspension in comfort. Car has done 0-100 kph in 4 sec.
Best mileage has been 35.24 MPG (imperial gallons, 20% bigger than US gallons) on a highway drive from BC to Alberta then Saskatchewan over the rocky mountains at an overall average of about 103 kph (so some driving up to 140 kph).
Worst mileage was 11.91 MPG for a track day a Mission Raceway ... those days are the serious dips in the following graph.
The C43 is the best daily driver I've ever owned ... even better than the C63 S, which I sold when we got the GTR Pro (and kept the C43 as the daily driver). For me, the C43 hits a nice "Goldilocks" center, being very good at a whole range of things ... but without being "over the top" in any of them (drive-ability, comfort, reliability, affordability (in its class), style ... and, of course, performance, handling, and sound).

I should say that I am reporting figures using the US gallon, not Imperial units.
I'm not doing anything special to calculate MPG: Just (Miles driven / gallons filled up)
I had to do this calculation for the Honda, but for the Merc, I just take it from the dashboard info, and I've found it to report the same as the calculation above.
