Broken Axle

Anyone have an issue with a broken axle on their c43? I broke my driver’s side front axle yesterday and it currently is in the shop for repair. I have broken an axle before on a modified import on slicks at the strip, but I have not heard of this from anyone with a c43. I am sure making a decent amount of power/torque over stock (and spirited driving) is to blame, but I wanted to throw it out to the forum for feedback.

@C43HeartBoost can you explain how it broke? During a launch? Do you have AMR's rv3.1 tune that builds boost at launch?

Not during a launch, but I had a few hard corners (full throttle exit speeds) immediately prior. I am on stage 2 with a few extra mods and e85 blend with OE Tuning.

Are you lowered?
Ive only heard of it happening on lowered C43's and i think only one occasion before.

Yes, my car has been lowered for approximately 20,000 miles.

I've had my C400 for 4+ years now and I've had the clicking when turning but never gave out. *Knock on wood* I think its time to replace mine, was thinking about ordering from fcpeuro.

That's a known issue on the 400s which is replaced under warranty in most cases. The 450 and 43s and replacement part on the 400 don't make noise.
OPs failure is most likely due to the tq our cars can make when tuned combined with the axle at a angle from lowering the car.
