Jb4 with Modalworks intake
I’m wondering who is running this set up?
I know people had said this intake will shine on stage 2 tunes and more aggressive tunes
im sure it would help on a jb4 but is worth the money ?
any experience, I would love to hear your thoughts

You thinking about swapping out the Logos intake?

I’ll need to run a bunch of logs with the FAI
and then with my stock back on.
and see what’s up.
If I could get the mw used or if they would sell inclosed system and include the parts to convert to open ( for winter) for the inclosed price it would push me closer.
they said they were gonna do testing with both their models. I would like to see what they find
and haven’t found anyone or any reviews about open system
and then with my stock back on.

I have a C400, and couldn’t get the green connector plugged in. When I asked BMS, they said that if I’m not running ethanol, don’t need it.
If and when I do an intake that gives the clearance, I’ll connect it.
Regarding intakes, there are a few other brands out there. CTS is pretty inexpensive, but seems to be setup to suck hot air. I do wonder if you could build full enclosures and duct it to the front.
Logos was working on a Stealth series, that retains the airbox, not sure the status?
VR performance is another, but not cheap either:

Running MST v2 here along w Fi exhaust and EC Stage 1. I don’t think a different intake system is going to provide anything more than a negligible difference.

Looks like the VRP provides ‘more flow’, sure would be nice if there was some dyno comparo’s done on these.
I’m feeling like for less than $500, CTS maybe the way, then fab up some enclosures.

Even the intake companies will say that an intake on an otherwise stock c43 will not do much. That’s kind of where I was trying to get info on. Will the mw enclosed intake help a jb4 on map 3 any measurable amount and what is that ?
So many variables, I’ve ran better times on map1 than a ton of cars with full tunes.
The FAI is a great idea but the sounds I hear with the radio on low is stupid

This is my first turbo car. I like most of the whooosh and blow off sounds but there’s some noises that sound like cheap plastic rubbing.
it was a sound I heard on my ‘19. And do it must be a regular part of the turbo. Logos said their intake will just make sounds more audible, won’t cause new sounds

There seems to be a sound difference with pre-FL and FL models. It may be the "gushhhh gushhhh gushhhh" sounds during throttle position that you are talking about. Now we arent MB techs, but the FL's have the CPC module's that limit torque and HP and keep them in check, it could be that the sound you hear is the purging extra air/boost in order to keep things in check as the CPC acts as a "nanny" to bleed off any extra air. (a tune should solve this though- where those limiters are removed)
Dont know if your a FL or not, so maybe that may be a factor. I know the heat shields do quiet things a bit thats for sure, if we could offer a more quiet version we would...maybe a thicker heatshield?
and our intake is louder than most/ if not all systems because the sound is super close to the front of the grill and projects outward so its more audible than others out there where the induction noise is further back in the engine bay.

I’m Fl
I believe 100% that this noise is not due to your product
I love the turbo sound!!
And the car does sound great outside
I not sure what the noise I hear that I don’t like sounds like to people outside
if I am getting much better performance with logos than stock then I’ll just keep the radio louder

your referencing the boost box, add on to the the OEM airbox. ? We are in negotiations to sell the idea and CAD files to a 3rd party. They will put their spin on it- so you'll see it pop up later this year, but not from us.

2015 C400 4MATIC Palladium Silver Metallic
I could've been running the MW full intake since last year, but their V1 fitment was terrible. Waiting to see if I can get the new V2 intake setup. My V1 has been in my garage collecting dust.

I'll be mailing back my original tubes this week, and they're going to send me the replacements.
I'm excited to to do some back to back before and after runs at my local track.
Vid coming soon.

@ModalWorks were the fitment issues brought up by two 400, cross all models?
Or just 400s
or just PFL
OR
just FL?
