2020 C43 DRL is yellowish and not bright white as much
Just picked up a w205 C43 with 48,500 miles on the dash. It is a very well kept car besides a little curb rash. I noticed today that the DRL is not bright white all the way through. Has anyone ever encountered this issue? Any response is appreciated. Will upload pictures after I get the car washed lol

The light output is highly dependant on HEAT & VOLTAGE despite the brightness being managed.
If you want bright white you can float charge (CTEK) the main battery.
In addition...
NOTE: the DRL Modules are coded to use lower power at night and high power daytime.
NOTE : the high heat in engine bay is used to cool the LED HL with fans - Realize higher light output with cooler engine on highway. Hotcity driving is dimmer output because of heat.

Thanks for the detailed response. This car is mostly going to be driven on the highway, and it’s pretty chilly in Texas right now, around 40 F. Should I just use a trickle charger to charge the battery?
Note: car was on a trailer for about 3 days since it was being delivered from Florida.

Many starter batteries are AGM types.... Don't set charger mode as "AGM Mode" on the starter battery while connected to the car.
either disconnect it or use the non-AGM battery float mode.

What’s AGM mode? Also you might have to educate me on how the battery system works in this car lol
also if I’m leaving the car in the garage overnight should I leave it connected to a trickle charger as a regular practice?

Starter Vs. Traction
- starter - AGM 12V cells use a solid gel lead-acid chemistry.
- traction - mild hybrid-power 48V or greater storage cells.
Both types are different & unrelated.
On the MB-USA website you may find a pdf user manual for your new car. Battery care will be detailed... lol
