Yeah that alcantera would feel mighty nice. Does anyone know where I can find an order guide without having to go to the dealer? I want to have all that knowledge before I speak to them about ordering.

Nice overall, but pity the dashtop looks cheap - like all the new C-class.

The layout does look strange in pictures, but it does look much more attractive in person, including the steering wheel.

I have to agree with you on this. The dashboard does not look good in person.

You can nowdownload the brochure from the official AMG Mercedes site which gives some information. The C63 is also added to the showroom so you can rotate it and look inside.

The alcantara steering wheel is part of the performance package which also includes the limited slip differential, sports suspension and composite front brakes. Separately you can choose the 5 spoke 18 inch wheels or the multispoke 19inch wheels.

Other options are full leather seats rather than artificial leather /cloth which is standard. Also, if you go for the optional bi-xenon headlights then you can have dark tinted headlight lenses.

The estate / wagon is some 50kg heavier than the saloon/sedan and has slightly worse performance and fuel ecconomy.

It's a shame they do not do the LSD without the composite brakes, sports suspension and the steering wheel; being from the UK and our poor quality bumpy roads my ideal spec would be the 5 spoke 18 inch wheels, the bi-xenons with tinted lenses, the nappa seats, the standard steering wheel and the LSD.

Oh they do carbon trim as well.

Regards
Andy

Thanks Andy, I'll be doing all the options but in the sedan. I'll check the site.

a 50kg increase for the estate when compared to the saloon isnt bad, the aston martin v8 vantage roadster is 70kg heavier then its coupe counterpart.

I agree. I also think the sedan's rear looks slightly heavy, and the wagon of course does not have this problem.

There are going to be quite a few sports car drivers who get an unpleasant surprise in the coming years by that car

Regards

it's weird how the bi-xenons are an option when they are standard on the c300 and c350 (in canada) lol
