Just preordered the C63...
Ordered black on black with all options including the performance package which increases the limit on the top speed to 174... This is the first Mercedes I have ever even given a second look too. It's beautiful... I've always been an Audi guy. Don't let me down Mercedes.

They weren't sure on the price... He said the base c63 would run about 55K. So he was thinking about 63K fully loaded. The only information that Mercedes had passed on was that the price will be around the same as the new M3.

i think base will be $63k for the C63, not fully loaded. that will run you around $70k w/ the performance package.
btw, how did u pre-order when we don't even know when the C63 is even arriving? my salesman hasn't informed me diddly.

For the price... I was assuming it would be more like 70K fully loaded... The biggest thing was that he said that other than knowing they will not price above the M3 they don't know what it will run. At this point, I just want it. Price isn't the biggest issue.
We do know when the C63 is arriving, it's in Aug of 08... I put the money down, choose my options, and they placed the ordered. I have a faxed confirmation from Mercedes.

No not published options... The only one anyone knows for sure about is the performance option. The rest are speculative. I just said I wanted it fully loaded. So they ordered it will all options. And yeah, confirmation is from MBUSA.

I put 2K down... That minimum was 1K... It's fully refundable at any time for any reason. We did talk about MSRP. While he couldn't put anything in writing for the final price, he did say that the car is being ordered for me and because of that the price will be MSRP, no more, no less. Works for me... If I ended up getting screwed in the deal some how I just yank my 2k out and walk away. But they are a very good dealer and I don't expect that to happen...

I would've preferred to see that in writing with a guarantee of X% interest on my deposit in the case that they reneg. Afterall its easy enough for them to write MB MSRP - $2k deposit, and no more, on a contract.

It's possible that the very first ones will be rolling in around April, but if you order one now don't expect to see it until August at the earliest. They aren't going to be making tons of them and they will be hard to find... If you want one before that you can try ebay in April but you will pay a lot more... The August date is what Mercedes told my dealer if you order right now...

I say...pre-ordering a car you have no clue on what it is going to include...such as options, MSRP, markups, or when it's coming to our shore, it's pretty dumb! Fully loaded by the stealership's term is totally different from a buyer's. Also, some options (based upon past buying experience) are bundled so you may get one but not the other. I prefer to choose exactly what I want instead of letting the stealership do the choosing and tell you that it's loaded. But more power to you if money and time aren't an issue.

Haha... No not a reason at all... Just a reply to someone else on the benefits of putting money down now. I'm buying it because it seems it will out perform the RS4 and the M3 and look great doing it... Yeah.
on this one. Anytime you actually order a car, they give you an option list.

Anyway, yeah it's ordered... Actually just got a call from the sales person 5 minutes ago with a few updates.
In fact 3 of the sales people at this dealership have already ordered ones for themselves as well...
