Seems you have just come into this forum to troll and point out "the C63 is a bad car/failure" and personally attack other members..........

Everyone should track their cars, at least once. You will never appreciate the full potential of your car. Also, you will learn the limits of your car which will make you a safer driver in the long run.

Agreed. It also makes you realize how silly it is to race or even push real hard on the street. We all love taking an exit ramp at high speed, but on a race track you're doing it on a dedicated, clean race track, with run-off areas, safety workers and with other drivers with the same mindset. Doing it on a public road, with curbs and soccer moms in minivans and unknown road surfaces. So if you have a shred of common sense, you dial it way back on the street. Or you end up on You Tube.

LOL this statement alone is enough to make me recognize that you’re a troll.
I have a feeling that you don’t own an MB at all, because you’ve never posted a single comment neither in the W203 nor in the W202 forum, nor in the W204 forum. And at the same time you claimed to own a C280. Maybe you actually own an E36 M3 and work at CarToys or BestBuy.

https://mbworld.org/forums/search.php?searchid=3576336

Maybe you decided to join MBW on a mission, maybe you personally hate MB. Of course you had to act friendly and neutral at first, even a little disappointed to the C63, just to gain a little bit of trust from the members here.
Re: https://mbworld.org/forums/showpost.php?p=2570157&postcount=60

But after a while you can’t help but show your true side.
I’m not against MB haters. Anyone has the right to hate anything, and nothing is perfect. But grow some ***** and don’t pretend to own a C280 or whatever. Just my .02

every post i read from him (coded) is slamming the C63. from day 1 I thought he was a troll and was thinking that he probably doesn't even own the C280 that he claims to drive.

I'm ordering a bunch of suspension stuff for the '44 and will hope to have something worth driving in the Spring!

Congrats on the M3! Spectacular car. One suggestion though. If/when you want to convert to race trim, you'll save a gazillion dollars if you sell your car and buy one that's already race prepped. You can literally spend $20-30,000 building and sorting out a race car; and you'll end up with something that is worth half of what you spent (and that ignores the value of your time). Look for classified in web sites for the SCCA and NASA series' that run the car. I could sell my 944 and pick up a fully prepped 944 spec car, and maybe still have money left over! Old 944s are dirt cheap, and it would still cost me at least $10,000 to strip it, cage it, upgrade it, and that's in addition to acquisition cost (another $5-7,000).

Does anyone else think that the new M3 is too far away from what an M3 should be. First off there's just something wrong in the phrase V8 M3. Also the M3, as well as the M5, has always been the ultimate sleeper. It looks like a normal everyday sedan or coupe, but it's a beast underneath all the mundane everyday looks. Both the M3 and M5 just don't fit the description of performance BMW for me. I think both are still amazing cars but M just seems to have taken away what makes their cars so great. The C63 just goes along with what Merc and AMG has always been about, doing something ridiculous and unexpected.

I beg to differ. The E46 M3 wasn't designed to look like a normal everyday coupe hence its extended fenders, stance, gills, quad exhaust, rear diffuser, etc. On the other hand, C32/C55 didn’t get this kind of special treatments and they just look almost exactly like the non-AMG C-class, and a lot of the owners didn’t like this kind of approach.
I bet they’ve received a lot of complaints from the C-class AMG owners, requesting to design the AMG models to stand out more, easily recognized as a performance car. Hence all the exterior body features on the C63 that wouldn’t be easily applied to the non-AMG models.

It has definitely evolved into something totally different than the original. Much heavier, must more luxurious. The closest thing to the original M3 might be the Lotus Elise. Light, one-dimensional, purist track toy. Folks say the 1 series will recapture the BMW 2002 image. That's dead wrong since the 1 series is almost as bloated as the 3 series (maybe 130 lbs lighter).

It's a nice car, but it's being touted as a "light" 335, and the weight difference is minimal.

i had the oportunity of seat time in both e30m3 and elise, tho the e30 experience was years ago. both great cars but i favour the m3. either car, however, could incur very expensive bodywork damage should you have an off at the track.

for the price of a few less options on a c63 or e92 m3 one can go prep or find a track car, and pay for 4 track days. and start the process of learning to be a great driver instead of trying to look like one. (hey before i get flamed i'm in the latter camp)!

there are other platforms out there of course but i favor e36 m3. body panels are same as regular m3s. tons of aftermarket support. stock weight is 3175 lbs, stripped prob 2500-2600. with a stg 3 package (chip, maf, injectors, headers, exhaust, cams) it's 300+ hp with out turning much higher revs. with a bigger rear diff or euro 6 speed this is potent track weapon.

lightweight cars are tons of fun. my suzuki swift is under 1900 lbs. doesn't have a ton of power but it can transistion and carve a corner very nicely indeed. the 135, is 3300 lbs or so, and again, the e36 m3 less than 3200.

JESUS!

I didn't know so many fast and furious wanna-bes were into MBs.

stoplight racing? dangerous, stupid, and illegal. Watch the polic permanently impound your new C63, and then think whether it was worth it.

today's youth makes me so sad...

Yea, but at that time AMG wasn't focused on the C-Class. Their main goal was to restart Merc's racing department which at that time essentially didn't exist. It's only today that they have had a chance to actually go ahead and make a consumer car. Also even though the E46 wasn't as stripped down to the core as the E36 it still retained that normal look. Now 3 series look almost like concept cars instead of sticking to the sensible German look.
