C63 AMG review on carconnection.com
http://www.thecarconnection.com/Vehi...84.A13909.html
Some excerpts:
"My stints in the M3 and RS4 were filled with brilliant maneuvers--or so I like to think. I wouldn't have guessed the C63 would be the most satisfying. Its handling is easily the equal of the other two, with a touch sharper steering. At this rarified space, it's tough to quibble unless you have a decided preference for Audi's all-wheel drive, but it's clear that the C63 turns in as sharply as the BMW, rides better than the RS4 and accelerates faster than either of them."
"The C63 AMG goes on sale at Benz showrooms in April 2008, starting from $54,625 including destination. If you're paying attention, that's $150 less than a BMW M3 sedan, and more than $15,000 less than Audi's RS4, which comes with standard all-wheel drive, 19-inch wheels, and carbon-fiber trim."
"So while you go tearing around the hinterlands in the tightest-handling, fastest and also cheapest German supersedan, you might be asked to keep it down to a dull roar.
I'll understand if you can't."

Glowing review, but I'll wait for EVO, Top Gear and Car to put these cars through their paces. Too many random reviewers out there nowadays.

Thanks for the info!
the price seems better, however the fact remains that $54,625 is the base price. and then comes the options...
but regardless its alot cheaper than buying it in Asia!
I can't believe they are charging almost $100,000+ for that car.

If you load up a C63 with ALL the options and gas guzzler it comes in around $62K. Very competitive with a comparably equipped M3.

The residual on the M3 for 36m/12K is 55% so I'm waiting for the C63 residual to become available.

I've got my potential M3 pegged at $71,445 plus sales tax. So, yeah, I agree that the C63 is more competitive. I think I'll have to spring for the PP (030) so even then it is still really competitive.

The review does not go into detail on road test etc or the fuel economy they acheived. The seats in the C63 which are the same ones from Black series are very tight and I felt uncomofrtabally tight in the shoulder area even at the widest setting
I think some may not like the tight fit

Come on you don't like that "virgin" feeling??
Seriously I'm a bigger guy with a 52 inch chest and the clk63bs was fine for me. Just lacking the 2 rear doors I like.. But if they keel the C36 in line with current pricing it is one hell of a deal. Still a C class but a great deal.
