Im just curious how people think the C63 will be in snow with snow tires...anyone had exerience with the c55 in snow?

I know the m3 was actually pretty decent when equipped with the proper tires, but im not so sure with this amount or torque....

it will be my only car, but the only time i would go out in snow is if i had to....

A couple of people drove it around here on ice in Sweden.

Word I hear is that it rocked!

I love driving my C55 in the snow. Its snowing here again today!!! 4 good 17" snows (Michelin Pilot Alpin's) and your good to go. I expect the C63 will be the same > I hope i can get my 17" AMG W203 5 Spokes on the C63 but chances are I will be buying new wheels and snows for next winter

I would keep the 18" stockers and wrap snows on those...then get a set of aftermkt 19's for nicer weather

Problem is the staggered wheel size. Not the best for true winter conditions. Ok for occasional but not recommended for a daily driver in the snow belt. Then you don't have that problem with your RR/.(nice ride) The taller 17" worked very well on the C55 and cut deep snow like a knife and didn't affect the speedo. (17"s were recommended by MB Canada).

Trying to find out what the Driver door sticker recommends on the C63 so I can do some advance planning.

Well you don't have to floor it.
I have a set of 17x7.5 all around with 215/45 blizzak, worked fine on about 4" of snow and ice. You still have to use common sense and be extra careful, but you'll be able to drive around just fine.

It handled great. We did have studded tires see the picture below and I pasted a link to the original thread. I would say 360_iti made a very good points.
