CaymanS or C63
I had the Porsche Cayman S for one & half year. After seeing the new C63, it is very tempting. Should I change it or not. I know they are different types of car at all. Any opinion will be great!

I personally adore Porsche.. I think in the German car industry, a Porsche is the best driving experience you could possibly have in a car.. but as you pointed out yourself, they are 2 completely different cars. If you are a person without a family or a need for a 4 door Sedan, and you want fun.. just stick with the Cayman S.. but if you do require a 4 door sedan that is small, fast and sounds like a Formula 1 car on steroids.. the C63 definitely is a good choice.

Well I assume C63 cannot compare to Cayman, actully i like the way of how C63 look even more comfort and 4 doors and the most important is the perfomance which is much better than the cayman.

A completely different type of car, but personally I felt the Cayman could use another 50-100 hp.

They are totally different cars. I dont really think comparable. 2 door vs 4 door. Mid engine vs. Traditional. Sport Sedan vs Sport Coupe, monster hp vs. avg...
Is it a a daily driver? Weekend car/how practical of a car do you need? all comes to factors...I like the CaymanS, just cause its different, alot of newer C Class are popping up, I'm sure the C63 will stay a bit rare but just too many C300's already out there.

My answer would have been the traditional, "It depends on what you need...they are different cars." However, a lot of people got ahead of me.
So instead, I will say then that I personally am not a fan of the Cayman looks. No offense, I bet its an awesome ride. I do like most everything that Porsche puts out.
That being said, the Mercedes C63 will be an awesome car to have. But hey, it's your money

I was also having this quandry. BTW
JD power rating shows the porsche's superiority in various perspective.
Merc is bit shame on their rating.
hate to admit but merc has some issues with build quality. I mean it is nice..but
however, some people comment that porsche is just expensive beetle.
( I disagree)
in addition, merc has better interior.
personally I even went to dealer ship to see cayman and test drive.
It was amazing. although it was automatic gear box, I loved the how it sounded and how it rolled. It was stiff but I am sure it;s not going to be stiffer than c63 (as far as I can read from other thread) but only problem I had was it was two seater hatchback. not enough space that I think I can't fit my golf clubs. I didn;t try it but that;s what it looked like.
c class has small boot but I can barely fit the clubs though
Although I am a college student, I am looking forward to use a car for quite a while. and since I am looking for an every day ride, I figure c 63 seems better for me. If I was looking for second car then I would definitely go for cayman though
Also it was way too expensive
the final price came up to about 80k
hey~
vanity, definitely my favorite sin

I think I need to test drive the C63 to feel the different. How much is the C63 cost in your country? In Australia, it is AUD$20000+ less than its rival M3 E92, and AUD$20000 less than it's previous model C55. That's why I think it is more affordable and want to change to C63. I heard in UK, the C63 cost more than the M3 E92.

i have been to bangkok a few times.... 99% of cars on the roads are junks... if i live there... i will for sure not drive any luxury cars.... first of all, i don't know who is there to impress anyway, second, the traffic is a mess... on a decent road, u ll see a van filled with chicken passing u by.... imagine ur SL55 all covered with chicken feather... i ll hate myself to let that happen...

If you are driving the E, IS, ML and SLK all by yourself... i would trade all of them together as the C63 makes all these 4 cars look redundant...
but if they belong to ur dad and mom etc and can't let you trade.... then i guess u should just stick to cayman s...

dude! you exaggerating about the chicken feathers, but you are right about the traffic though. However, Merc sells very well here its more like a status symbol than a daily vehicle. Most importantly its a ***** magnet too .

Maybe the keeping all of those car and still buy a C63 is a better idea....I am sure mum will agree with me. Yet she probably won't be the one writing the cheque (sadly).
