whos gona mod their c63?
Basically how many are here that are planning on modding their c63's? As soon as parts are available I plan on LT headers, midpipe, intake modifacation, and a tune. Anywhere between 450 and 500whp and ill be happy.

AMG
I might do some light mods, like put sport filters and ECU tune to unlock some of the detuned power... Slightly wider tires, But I would not go ***** out with in the warranty.

I'd concur here. ECU tune to unleash the detune and it will be more than enough power for the average Joe to kill themselves with.

I hate those amber front reflectors, anyone knows of any after market ones that sell matching painted ones to match your car color

Honestly, I think it stupid to mod a car like the C63. Seriously, is 450hp not enough (not too mention the torque)??? The car is so perfect the way it is, tuners will only screw with the efficiency and perfect design that AMG has given us with this engine. Also, is it really worth losing the warranty???
The only tuning that I would understand is maybe a Bilsstein suspension, different wheels, etc.
If you really want to tune, than this is not the car for you IMO. Go buy an Mitsubish Evo or Sub. WRX...

I'm thinking about running a windshield mod. I usually get a solar diverter for the windshield to keep the interior from getting hot. I like a manual application that I can remove when I'm driving. I'll also probably tweak the exterior paint with the Zaino mod. For my final mod I'm going to tape a K&N sticker on the air filter box. I hear you get the same performance gains from just running the sticker and foregoing the actual K&N filter.
I almost forgot. I'm going to put a mixture of oxygen, nitrogen, carbon dioxide and maybe a hint of water into the tires to keep them inflated to spec.

I'm planning to upgrade to the C63 in 2 years. The stock power is good, but a lil more hp wouldn't hurt. The engine is detuned so releasing the 6.2 liter's full potential is do-able. As long as the warranty isn't affected, I'm all for it. Otherwise, keep as is and still have fun.
For me, several aesthetic mods are a must:
1. Get rid of the amber reflectors. Paint them to match the body color.
2. Lower the stance of the C63 with KW or Bilstein coilovers (when available)
3. A nice set of wheels and tires
4. Replace factory foglights with 6000K HID foglights
5. Possibly tint the windows
