Andrew, did you needed spacers to clear the front of your winter wheels?

There seems to be this myth floating around about c63 wheel fitment.

No I did not need spacers these are 8.5x18 ET 35 standard benz wheels they fit a billion different benz cars.

Actually ET 35 means they stick out further away from the center line of the car then the stock 8X18 ET45

The clearance issue here is between the caliper and the wheel barrel there is literally like 4mm I am nervous about using them, any snow or ice build up could maybe rip the caliper off


Here are the specs of every wheel I have used on the car so far

AMG stock
8x18 ET 45
9x18 ET 54

Kleemann
8.5X19 ET35
10X19 ET 60 + 5mm spacer for a final ET55

Brabus S
8.5X18 ET 35

I have a set of Authenic Brabus monoblock V's they are 18" as well they would work but the wheel barrel has a step in it that hits the caliper.

Yes. I like the wheels in the second picture a lot better. However, it's just one man's opinion. But for the record, I like both sets of your wheels. You have a nice collection!!!!

I haven't found a set I am in love with either yet. Actually I lied I like alot of things from strasse forged but they are mega expensive

Yeah, I know how you feel. I just dropped down plenty of money on a new set of wheels yesterday, and I'm not really "in love" with them. One day though........................

Thought I take one in the evening with my car lights on. Exposure down to .8 of a sec and it was getting pretty dark.

Roswell you can keep trying. The Mercedes wheels are ok and I love it.

Yes my car does look clean but there is a lot of work involved to produce that picture. I took it with Canon 1dx and the new 24-70 mkII lens and using a tripod. I then took multiple exposures and the via PS I layer the best parts of the different photos together.

One reason I have to do it is the white paint and the black wheels. Current digital sensors does not have the dynamic range to produce images as we see it.

Quick phone shot on winter wheels.
2010 carbon OEM mirrors installed (no CF covers)

On the pic, the front wheels are tucked in because I forgot about spacers.
Just installed 10mm ones and it looks much better.

EDIT: Ok, the car is officially undriveable on H&R coils at the lowest settings with 10mm spacers and 235/35/19 tires in the front.
Constant rubbing on every little hole in the road...
I have to remove the spacers.

I thought i would share some info for those who would like to fit 20in rims and lower their c63. I have 20x9.5 hre p40? wheels. I have 285s on the rear. I have kw coil overs. The car now sits with the rim about 1mm from the guard. So the tyre sits in the guard. I have zero scrubbing even with a full car load. I have not modified my guards. Its all about rim offset. HRE design the wheel with a +51 offset. I shaved 3mm off the rear to give it a +54 offset, and it fits perfect now. My car is pretty low, to give you an idea i put 265s on the factory rims and they were slightly touching. Hope this info helps
