Lease -vs- Buy
What's the percentage of buy versus lease in these cars? How many of you are leasing, instead of buying or vice versa?

Leasing mine, not a good idea to buy a depreciating asset, unless of course you plan on keeping it for 10 years. I love cars and tire of them after the three year ithch.

Thanks
Just want to make sure I did the right thing.... I always lease also (also have it in my business name, so i can write a portion of the lease off), but I really love this car, so I wanted to make sure I made the right decision.

I bought paid for it out right but probably would not have leased. You get slammed with a lease unless there are promotions going on. I leased an 07 A3 3.2 as a daily driver 24 mos and the payment is $759 ridiculous on a $40,000 car. I put $7K down. Still got a few months to go on it but looks like CarMax is willing to take it off my hands for $27K so I'm not upside down on it. Leased an 07 Lexus IS250 (during a promo) for my wife and the payment is $549 with 7$K down.
I was skeptical about buying but the C63 is ALOT of car. I still can't get over the fact that it's a sedan moving the way it does. I have an 08 C6 Vette and I think the C63 would give it a run to 100mph. It DEFINITLEY pulls stronger on the other side of 100mph and feels more taut.

Let me see if I have this right............at $1245 for 36 months, your payments will have totaled $44,820.00 out of a sticker price of $63k. If you bought and sold at the same time frame, you would only be out around $31,500 based on a 50% value which should be very conservative. '05 C55's are bringing more than 50% of the original sticker price even with a new body style change hurting things. Am I missing something?
I guess if one does not have the $20k to put down on the car to purchase it, leasing makes some sense but I don't see how people can make those payments for three years, return the car to the dealer and call a cab to get home with nothing left over for the next car. Kinda like renting an appartment vs. buying a house to me.

Mind you, it's just what I've heard. I don't have experience first hand.
