I am very close to placing an order for an '09 C63. However, I just can't decide on the color. I know this a very subjective question, but what is everyone's favorite color in this car?

I am a fan of black but I am afraid that it may hide some of the trim details. Also, is there a big difference between black and obsidian black? I think I have it narrowed down to black (nonmetallic or obsidian), steel grey, and maybe palladium silver. I think I'm leaning towards steel grey at this point. I also like white and bright red but they are a little "loud" for me personally.

STEEL GREY, I have been to the dealer many of times to look at the all of the colors on the standard C Class models. I have looked at them in the sunlight and under the lights in the dark and the Steel Grey was my choice.

 

IMO, I believe WHITE is the nicest color, followed by Irridium silver

i think white on most german cars is the best color!
thats also why MB chose white for their c63 site

Irridium is also nice, as it almost matches the color of the AMG 5 star rims


also, mars red is one of my favorite color in general...but is very very loud

 

I started off with a tenorite grey (steel grey) on order having seen it a few times on a standard C which looked great. I've now seen a TG C63 a few times on the road (both full sun and cloudy) and I wasn't as happy with the colour on the 63 with the different lines of the car. I've now changed to tanzanite blue (359), royal blue in direct sunlight, deep purple-blue in low angle sunlight, and almost black under artificial light.

I think black hides the aggressive lines too much. I prefer the lighter colors. Never thought I would ever consider white for a car, but it looks great on the C63!

 

White looks great when it's clean but think you will get fed up with it after a while and you may stand out like a sore thumb! If that doesn't bother you, then go for white. Agree that black doesn't do the car justice. Favourite for me is one of the silvers or greys and my choice is the Iridium Silver which i think is the one in the brochure and in my opinion looks the best (with the contrasting black leather seats) Or palladium silver as a 2nd choice.

 

I love white and always get white cars, but yeah you will need to hit the car wash a lot if you want to keep it clean.

 

I currently drive a dark blue S4 and really love blue but I wasn't sure about the Capri Blue available in the US. Is that the same blue that you ordered? I think that is rather dark too....do you think it will hide some of the lines of the car?

 

I don't think white is as bad as black for keeping clean. Especially dust and salt/sand. I live on the beach and my car gets really dusty after only a few hours.

 

I'm a sucker for white! Love it on the C63

 

Silver looks very AMG , white looks hot , but whatever it is , you need to get it with the optional multispoke 19's and get the sidemarkers painted , steel grey is hot too , but not an agressive color.

 

In pictures the black hides the lines of the car, but in person it doesnt at all!!!!

All I can say is I've seen White a few weeks ago C63 and it looks nice but then I came across a soild Black with matching Black interior and it looks awsume unreal. I've considered other colors but Black is very Hot looking in all light conditions on this car. My 09 order has been submitted in NYC...3rd in line, Aug, Sept delivery.
BTW... I have a Black truck and really didn't want to go black again but you must see it to believe...the best!!!!

 

regular (non-metallic) or obsidian black?

 

Steel Gray was my choice. I was set on white till I saw all the MB's at the dealer and around that were white.

Regular Non Matallic... I did see obsidian black on a different class
car and regular black is outstanding compared to OB.

Note... On the web sites you can Not compare a Black color car with white or gray because Black does Not display well at All on LCD monitors....unless you view it a high Def LCD or Plasma TV and even then Black is a tough color to replicate on TV... trust me, viewing a Black C63 online does not do it justice, you must see it live to believe it. If you're the kinda guy that likes a sharp looking car, the regular Black C63 will knock your socks off.

 

I have a Palladium Silver C300
and so far its the best looking one IMO followed closely by the White.,then brilliant silver in 3rd.

I believe black is a great color but like others mentioned it really hides the aggressive look of the car.

when I get my C63 in 2010 I'll need to see all 4 before I decide.
theres always a color that screams its "YOU", "THATS GOTTA BE MY CAR!"

 

When is your arriving, if it is before me, I would love to see the colors, as steel grey is my choice but i havent decided on the interior, I have one more week to decide as they allocation for the order date has been set for mid july with an end of august/early sept delivery. Would really like to see pics!

 

Well 08-07-08 is the build date. I guess it will be at my dealer the 1st or 2nd week of September.

White looks awesome on the C63.

 

Capri blue is the US name for tanzanite blue everywhere else. In my opinion, it is a fantastic color.

 

Anyone have more pictures of the C63 in different colors?

This decision is killing me. Placed an order for Steel grey but not sure.

 

Check out (if you can) one in Plain Black... I did get to see it and I'm convinced its the Best looking color on a C63...
