I don't understand how you guys NEED backup cameras to park. Just honk the horn a couple of times before you reverse if you are so afraid of running over that "special" kid who decided to play behind your car. Might as well run over the parents of that "special" kid while you're at it since they obviously don't care.

These comments always come from people who dont have any kids; believe me once you have them they dont just sit in the house like furniture and you cant keep them in cages. They go outside and play and they dont always pay attention to dangerous situations no matter how much you tell them.

The backup camera thing is a safety device that helps to keep you from running over kids and crap that are in the blind spot below the trunk lid. Kids get run over alot in this exact situation; we just dont hear about it that much because it doesnt make the news.

im parked, and am watching you try to park in front of me and you never turn around and physically look/judge the distance to my car.you are just focused on the nav screen.you would hear my horn followed by a tap on your window and id ask you to hold on while i move and find another place to park.

We don't need keyless go, we dont need navigation, we dont need a HK stereo, we don't need leather seats, we dont need ventilated seats, etc etc etc.

But, many of us want that stuff. Its not like the C63 is some exotic supercar built for a race track only. People question why its not included because the direct competitors offer it as standard.

I am with you on this, My Audi S5 has Back-Up Camera, Parkdistance and Keyless go as well.. It's a small car but these features do come in handy when needed. I was very disappointed to hear that none of these features comes with the car, especially the Fully Loaded but what keeps me happy is knowing I will have the Torque, HP, and Exhaust Note available at ALL TIMES!

My Range Sport had adaptive headlights, my escalade didn't. My Escalade has a power lift gate, my Range didn't. My Range had a cooler in the center console, my Escalade doesn't. My Escalade had cooled seats, my Range didn't. My Range had bluetooth, my Escalade doesn't.

My Escalade has a rear-backup camera, my Range didn't...the list goes on.

After a while, I stopped getting too excited by little features. Sure they are nice, but there are trade-offs with every car. Get over it.

Am I the only one who physically turns his head to look back while he backs up? I mean, I can understand if you are old and can't turn your head or something (buy a lexus with self park!), but seriously, come on guys, I feel the C63 is a driver's car. It is meant to INVOLVE the driver. If it's just a convenience factor... I can live without the camera or parktronic. The car is expensive enough as it is

If you want it, your MB dealer will install QuickPark for ~$900. Rear sensors, audio only. Equivalent to other manufactuers in the segment. I'll prbably get it for the sole reason that when I' turning around in my parking garage first thing in the morning I'm usually half asleep and it's just simple and convenient. Vital? Not at all. Useful? Yes.

Don't care about backup camera...but keyless GO almost seems standard these days. My GF's Prius has it.

I am also "stationed" in Germany and we as military ID card holders are receiving thru the miliary car sales program american spec vehicles tax free. And now MB in Ramstein is offering a 8% discount across the board for all models, a 09 C63 base price for us is now about 50.6k. I also check the prices on the German side and a C63 base starts at over 67 euro K and tops over 90 euro k fully loaded.
