its special for now ... but there's always something better coming out ..
So if you lease for 3 years and then buyout at the end of the lease would you still come out ahead if you're planning on keeping the car long term?

probably not...

if you buy/lease a new car youre gonna lose lots of money as it depreciates

best way to avoid this is to buy slightly used, this way if you get it a year or two old...it has already depreciated quite a bit

but theres no way around it

lease or buy, youre gonna take a nice loss

Have him provide you the residuals and the money factor.

I think its funny that he isn't sure what HIS dealership will mark up the price of the car OVER MSRP.

Paying over MSRP is just DUMB.

I don't believe this "deal" is going to work out the way your salesmen is making it sound. Plenty of guess work and empty promises.

i dont know what thread ur reading

where did i say that im getting the car over MSRP

hes getting it below MSRP!!!!!

2nd it is IMPOSSIBLE to get a risidual today, MB has not released pricing on the 09s

but he did say an 09 will have better ris. than an 08

there is no guess work, only guess work is on my end estimating the car at 71k

we also took into consideration that the car might be anywhere from 1-3% more on MSRP
Not sure what you meant here.

The last time I looked into leases I'm pretty sure the residual of the vehicle isn't based on MY.

Actually, the residual can change throughout the MY. As the new MY approaches, the outgoing MY residual drops because it is assumed the older car is less desirable than the new. As the re-sale values strengthen, the residuals firm up. Leasing an 09 in August 2008 might be a bit cheaper than leasing an 09 in August of 2009.

I believe the leasing companies update the residuals each quarter.

I did know that the money factors are normally the purse strings that are adjusted to make leases more desireable, didnt know they really changed residuals much. Thanks for the info

I'm in no position to have a car like this for a lonnnnnnng while. Best of luck to the OP - fantastic color choice!

what i meant about the car being 1-3% more on MSRP, was the pricing MB was gonna release

no one really knows if the 09 will have the same price as the 08

if it is more expensive, we're guessing 1-3% more

Very interesested. Sent you a pm. One question, however, does the multi-tiered lease allow you to get out of the lease at any time after 24 months upon 2 months notice?

yes i also thought this sounds to good to be true

which is why, im reading everything very carefully, and looking into

so far it looks legit!

to anyone who is skeptical, look into it, and if its not for you or feel its too good to be true, dont take it

i for one think its worth the shot

he has till august 15th to deliver me that exact car, with those exact conditions or i get my deposit back

worth the risk for me

Have you seen the actual contract/agreement yet? Scan and post it for review, this way you won't be too disappointed when it is too good to be true....
