Don't Race With Bikes!
#76
You cant compare an R1 to a Varon, 1000hp and awd. As for real world cars, most bikes will beat them, however there are some cars that will take them out. I was riding my ZX7R and had a STI on my butt, I couldnt shake him. Im sure if I had a long straight I would have but at those speeds with a heavy car behind you, its better to give him the win. You really dont want to get run over by a car at any speed let alone at.... well lets not get into that.
I dont want to get people going on speeds and others trying to beat them.
Dont kill yourselves or others.

ZX7 was a huge disapointment in the weight/horsepower department,it was basically forgotten by Kawasaki in 95&didn't recieve any signifigant updates&just faded away.I always liked them too

My friend bought 2 brand new first-year ZX-7R(black/black&green/white)in 1989.He totalled the black one&has the green one sitting in his garage on stands. He says he will never sell it;it has 500+miles on it.
He also has the 1 year run ZX-7RR(92-93??) factory superbike homologation special. The one that had the aluminum gas tank, quick chang close ratio cassette trans,39 Keihin FCR carbs, solo seat, etc. THAT is worth serious money indeed. They SUCKED as streetbikes as it was damn near impossible to get the carbs jetted spot-on for street riding with the ultra tall 1st gear, but made a winning platform if you raced

well, Kawasaki offered him $50k for both of them, he passed. lol.. they were BOTH for Race, even the teams at the time tried to buy them. He was supposed to sell them back to Kawa racing at that time for like $17k each, but something got screwed up and they never called back. They are sitting in crates, in the AC right now. Not near the performance of liter bikes today, but very significant in the racing world.

Yup.I walked right past one at the Hooters in Daytona during bike week one year.Only when Ivan smacked my shoulder did I turn around to see "probably the only one you will see w plates on the road,ever.." as he described what it was
My fave was the 1989 GSXR-RR,saw one of those during the same Bike Week
