LSD cars use Castrol SAF-XJ 75W-140.

Non-LSD cars use Titan Sintopoid FE SAE 75W-85.
So the 2008 models should also have their differential fluid changed? I thought the 08 models didn't have a LSD?

Non-LSD cars DO NOT need the diff fluid changed at the 1,875 mi. interval. Only the LSD cars need this service.

after readin what you guys said.. I decided to bring my car to service after 1500 miles, to change its engine oil and transmition fluid. When i called my dealer, the service representatives told me that c63 first service should be arond 5000-6000 miles... any comments?

I check the maintenance booklet, it says only those amg has PP has the first service around 3000miles.... so i dunno what should i do now..should i still go ahead for the serivce or wait until i hitted 5000?

I'm planning to change my oil, transmission fluid and LSD fluid tomorrow. The car has 14xx miles on it. Is this ok or should I wait till 1800-2000 miles? Thanks.

so I call my dealer (an amg performance center) earlier this week to inquire abt the whole LSD bs.. They told me that they're heard of the diff oil change, but nothing in their system tells them to do so.

For the ease of mind, i made an appointment to get it replace anyway. I then ask abt the Welcome Check up thing.. they said if it were an 08, i would get a free check up (but not for 09). OK, whatever

I took the car in today.. the guy who took my cars noted correctly that I wanted the diff oil change.. he tells me its part of the 1st checkup.

This is suppose to be the largest Mercedes dealer on the east coast. Huge garage... seems like it has 30+ bays but very small waiting room which only contains 9 chairs, with abt 20 people waiting.

Tired from standing for 2hrs, the car was ready. Grab the receipt (in envelope) got in the car and left.

Looked at the receipt when I got home. All it says is 'Perform MB Welcome Visit' d/c 21327008

Sorry for the diatribe, but I still dont know if they change the oil or not
And the thing is, I dont even want to call them to ask because their answer cant be trusted!

Are many of you (Owners Not Leasing) doing an oil change during the 1825 mi LSD oil change? or are you waiting a little longer?
