I just want to put in my 2 cents... I used to work with MBUSA and the control number for employee or friends & family discount is absolutely legit! Also true that it doesn't apply to certain models... AMG especially. I'm leasing my ML350 for $400 per month (tax included) with $0 down for 27 months, 12K miles. The discounted price was about $42K & change for listed MSRP @ $51K.
Note that there was a spreadsheet with the control number... the discount is different across different models & equip'd options (so the 12.x% is bs unless they changed the program). About 2 years ago, the R, E and ML were the major discounted cars (no CLS, CL and any AMG) - the R leasing was actually cheaper than the ML. One could lease an E class for less than $350 per month with $0 down. And the number also has expiration period usually within a couple of months.
This control numbers are limited and only given out to certain employees - the number was given to me from my manager - he was pretty high up the chain. (I spoke with him a few months ago and he said he hasn't gotten any for a while - MBUSA stopped it cause people were "abusing" the discount or he simply just didn't want to give me any more since I have gotten 2 from him for the past 3 years)
BTW, the Contractor discount is $1000 to $1200 off any model and can be combined with any other discount offers.

Just called my contact in MBUSA... the MVP friends & family program is back and again has an excellent deal for certain models... it's ending on 7/31.
Let me see if I can "beg" my ex-manager for a number since my ML is due in Sept.
BTW, I also found out that the buy-out price for my ML is $33K and they said they willing to negociate since the market for SUV aution isn't all that great - so I guess I can buy it out for $31K or less (if I want)??

From the pass, it never does... and I highly doubt it on C63 since it's such high-demand... but I'll find out. I kinda feel like what I'm saying is since it probably has nothing to do with C63.
(Note that you need to get this control number from MBUSA employee which is a great thing if you can get one. This is different than the Fleet discount mentioned above.)

i like to ride my bike
from what i have heard you get 20% off over here in Germany. In a certain position you can even order an AMG...as long as you can pay it no one cares. The thing is the gov wants taxes off the 20% again...making it less desirable

As far as I knew, you cannot apply discounts to AMG models. I guess if you guys were told differently, maybe so. I have a friend that works from MB who told me that.
FYI - the S-Class has an incentive program for '08s, I think like $17K off the sticker price of the S550.

my friends sister works for MB USA.
in what capacity im not really sure yet
im going to get in touch with her today, and get more info, but i figured some of you guys would know whats up
my friend mentioned that she (her sister) has some sort of discount voucher for MB....and what my friend mentioned is that they have special programs with this voucher...an example she gave me was a E class lease for $420 a month......
when i asked if this would apply to ANY model, she said they have special programs.....or just a discount......she mentioned 20% off, but that sounds impossible to me and is probably wrong
what she told me was that they take your social security # and put it into the system, and give you some kind of controll number
anyone ever hear of something like this??
anyways, i sent her sister (the one that actually works for MB) a message, and am waiting for her response so that i can get the actual details
but any input you guys have would be appreciated too
thanks!!!

You get no discount on C63's. The have plans for many cars right now but the rules are far more strict than before regarding who can qualify and the number of cars a year you can purchase.
Some of these deals are insanely cheap due to the economy right now. They want to move units. But no amg or 600's etc. Nothing thats popular and in demand.

The CLS 550 is still a very fast car, and gorgeous inside and out. You should definitely check it out. More size, more cush, more luxo than the C63. Different vibe behind the wheel.

they discontinued the discount program for employees as far as I know and they never applied to AMG's anyway due to employees buying the cars at a discount and and selling it at the full price. My friend was one of the last ones to get sort of a discount by paying base price of a C300 but fully loaded.
Employees would get a different discount that friends and fam. would get
