discount if you work at MB????

my friends sister works for MB USA.
in what capacity im not really sure yet

im going to get in touch with her today, and get more info, but i figured some of you guys would know whats up

my friend mentioned that she (her sister) has some sort of discount voucher for MB....and what my friend mentioned is that they have special programs with this voucher...an example she gave me was a E class lease for $420 a month......

when i asked if this would apply to ANY model, she said they have special programs.....or just a discount......she mentioned 20% off, but that sounds impossible to me and is probably wrong

what she told me was that they take your social security # and put it into the system, and give you some kind of controll number

anyone ever hear of something like this??

anyways, i sent her sister (the one that actually works for MB) a message, and am waiting for her response so that i can get the actual details

but any input you guys have would be appreciated too

thanks!!!

well just to clarify, ive only spoke to her sister, not the actual girl that works at MB

as far as 20% goes....thats impossible

i remember other forum members saying they only get like $500 off, and sometimes nothing at all on AMGs

but does anyone know anything about some controll number they give you, and the putting your social into their system

and here it is, right from the sales guy i always deal with:

We just received five employees control numbers to use for regular customers from now until the end of the month. That means you can get twelve and a quarter percent (12.25% !) off the price of a new Mercedes Benz.

WOW !!!!

that sounds too good to be true

im sure it cant apply to AMGs or there has to be some kind of catch!!!
my luck is NEVER that good

can you call the dealer and ask him what the catch is?

so if my C63 is sold to me for 70k, and i give them this controll #, i will get it for 62 and change???

REALLY????????????

no problem, when he sent me the e-mail i thought it was a trick just to get me back in the dealship, but i talked to a guy who used one of the numbers on a CLS63 i was looking at and he said it was legit.

here is the e-mail i was sent:

* -We just received five employees control numbers to use for regular customers from now until the end of the month. That means you can get twelve and a quarter percent (12.25% !) off the price of a new Mercedes Benz.

* -This can be used in conjunction with other discount offers MB has on different models this month, including leases.

* - As an example you could get over $16,000 off one of the two CLS550's that we have in stock. You could also lease a SLK280 for around $400 per month (possible even less!) Some vehicles have interest rates as low as 1.9% for as long as 72 months

Its 1000% true guys. Two friends of mine work for MB one in corporate the other and A Tech. One got a car for his GF and one for himself both E classes at ridiculously low lease rates.
He also said it applied to all cars. Dont remember exact percents but def. true!

i didnt jump on the deal for the CLS63 because i thought he said they had one CL63, which is out of my price range. the next day i called and talked about it and he explained it to me. Basically they get permission from Mercedes or their own dealership to use some of these numbers at random to move cars. he said it happens every so often and not on any type of schedule. When they do the pricing i guess they put in the control number and it discounts it.

this was two weeks ago and i wasnt really paying attention since the CLS was gone and he said i could not use it on a C63 through them. so im not sure if you can even use it on a C63.

I've heard about this on a different forum as well. If anyone knows a friend who has extra code #s in the tri-state area, let me know.

'08 CL600,'09 C63 (sld), '07 550i (sld), '08 VW , '04 X5 4.4 (sld), '02 ML (sld), '01 e46M3 (sld)
Couple thoughts:

- If they do have these "discretionary" control numbers, there's no way they'll use it on an in-demand C63 - they'll use them to entice people into slower moving, bigger ticket vehicles.

- I work for a totally unrelated company yet we have corporate discount with MB. I completed an on-line form and then was issued a control number and form that I sent to the dealer. This discount varies by car. Any C, including the 63 have a $500 discount. The max is $2,500 which applies to a few cars including S550, ML550 and ML63 etc.

it's for whenever you can get a control number. the e-mail i got was from the end of june. Mercedes always does some weird deals that no one knows about. like $999 for 36 month lease on a CLS63, hell my dealer didnt even know until after the offer was over.

well i think for my dealer because all the C63's they had comming in were already sold. the deal applied to cars on lot/being delivered that are not sold.

i was too, i was on the way home to grab my check book when he called me back saying that when they tried to put the numbers in it wouldnt work, called MBUSA and they said the deal ended at the end of June. i was in the dealer on the 3rd.

it all depends on the lease rate, the rate for a 08 E63 is at like 0.00175 or something like that. calling my guy in a little to see whats up.

it was for a 63, they had two 550's on the lot though.

well from what he said it sounded like from what was on the lot/on the way to them. not for orders to have one built.

i will ask when i call though.

ok so i just called my guy at Ray Catena MB

heres what he told me:

-the controll # discount only applies to certain models, he said its not on everything

-there is nothing on the C63

-i asked him about the S class and he said there are special programs on the S class, and that you cant commbine the controll # with the current offers

-when i asked about the CLS63 for $999, he said that offer expired already BUT.....he said it was for 08s, most of which you cant find.....if you did find it, he mentioned there was a lot of money out of pocket...plus tax....plus it was only like 7500 miles a year

-he also thinks MB will price the C63 by the end of this month

he said he'll find out more info on the controll # thing, and get back to me shortly
