Change of Heart...09 C63 Available

Long story short the C63 is too rich for my blood. The day pricing was released for the 09 C63 I got a call from a friend of mine who has been looking for a Corvette from his dealer about a fully loaded 2008 ZO6 with 1,900 miles. I Couldn't let this deal get away.

Someone traded it in for a C6 convertible for the summer. I am very happy that this individual has more money then he knows what to do with it. Saved me a bunch of money, the ZO6 cost about 9k less then the C63 I ordered would have costed me. Don't get me wrong people I love the C63 and would if I could but I can't complain. I picked up the ZO6 yesterday and it is beyond words...

So if anyone in the NY area is looking for a 2009 C63 PM me...

Irriduim Silver on Black
P2 Package
Multimeda Package
AMG Leather Package
AMG Performance Package
Ipod
Black Maple Wood Trim

I haven't told my dealership that I don't want the car but I figure it can be worked out.

i think i know why theyre dropping

i was quoted a C63 today, every option but CF, 70k car

with NY taxes in the 36 month payment, it was 1370 a month

granted this is not from my dealer, who told me he will get me the car cheaper

but 1370 is still a very high quote ppl are getting

a 110k M6 is 200 bucks more, and thats for a 24 month lease

so even tho the C63 is awesome, for that monthly payment you can get a 100k car instead of a 70k one

Like flies? How many?

The US economy is ****.

Time for the poseurs to start driving the POS cars they can actually afford, not MB or BMW's.... the party's over, survival of the fittest. Or, eehhumm.. as I learned in my anthropology class... "survival of the most likely to reproduce"... in which case, I'd suggest you chaps pick up a used Lotus Elise for $30K and see how many females flock to it while you still have a chance... LOL

BTW, OP congrats on the Z06 -- amazing car!

Check out M5Board, plenty of people there. And it'll still smash a C63. I'm still open to any of you in the NY area who want to test me on that. Videos of my car running with a K2 SL55 up to 150 are on youtube.

Oh, and by the way, check your "heavy car" comment at the door. The M5 barely weighs over 4,000lbs, and the C63 checks in at 3,950. WHOOPSIE!!!

Newbies should read something before they talk, for real.

M5 is a sick car, there are also INSANE deals available on it currently

my ONLY complaint about the M5, is that the body has been around for a lil while and can use an upgrade

There seriously are some unreal deals, but rumors of dealers not CPO'ing the cars are pretty scary, I wouldn't want to run this thing without a warranty despite the fact that I haven't had any problems.

Body could definitely use an upgrade, but with the way that BMW designs have been going lately, who's saying that'll be a good thing?

I'm caught between upgrading to an M6, or going for a GTR when I'm done with this thing.

Don't knock it til you've owned one. I don't get why there are statements like this. There are plenty of people that would love to own an M5 or an M6 over a C-Class C63. But I'm not going to start with you. The C63 is an awsome car and it's just about personal preference.

To the OP, I have a cousin in Texas that is looking for one close to the options you have, I'll keep him informed of your thread.

Oh, and by the way, check your "heavy car" comment at the door. The M5 barely weighs over 4,000lbs, and the C63 checks in at 3,950. WHOOPSIE!!!

Newbies should read something before they talk, for real.

Where to start -

1) sorry if I offended any M5/M6 owners, not my intention
2) having said that, I think your response was a little harsh, so please allow me to respond.

While a newbie to this forum, I am no newbie to performance cars, including quite a bit of track time in the M5 (not M6 admittedly)... I have owned lots of BMWs, Porsches, Audis...never MB previously. Currently own two 911s. My comments were more a philoshophy. Some people love the M5. Top Gear compared it to a Ferrari 430 in terms of performance and sounds. Clearly it is a widely purchased car, so my comments are purely from one perspective.

I find the concept of a big heavy car with a video game like gearbox (yes I know stick is now available), a V10 engine with lots of horsepower, but only usable very high in the rev band, with torque not much higher than our minivan, to be a concept that is not a lot of fun around the city.

This is strictly my opinion and again not meant to offend. However, I dont make it based on reading magazines, but based on real seat time.

I know that the C63 AMG is as heavy as the M5, that was my whole point... the AMG has the torque to match the weight and HP of the car, while I feel that the M5 does not.

Tomatoes, tomahtos, these are all wonderfully engineered cars...
