First off when you talk fuel mileage you need to state weather you are using the cars computer (what it says for MPG) or are you hand calculating. They are not the same. hand cal. is the only true was to figure your true fuel mileage.

Using the car's display. Don't care enough to calculate by hand.

My car does drink a lot of bloody petrol. This is one thirsty thirsty beast. I'm sure the consumption varies from person to person depending upon location and driving style... For me she does about 12.2-13 city and havn't really done much motorway mileage yet to see how it fares on the highway...

I've become good friends with all the guys behind the tills at the local gas stations lol.

If you're worried about gas mileage don't get an 8 cylinder. This will be a daily driver for me and once I decided on this car I decided not to even worry about MPG.

Here's some real numbers. While driving approx 500 miles on the road, including mountain passes and lots of level roads, I averaged approx 22 mpg. Now, this was during break-in and I wasn't really pushing it. So, it was mostly at speed limit (with one passenger/luggage) or modestly above and with AC on. So, the Monroney sticker says 12 city and 19 highway. However, it also says the highway mileage can range from 19 to 23. I got 22. I'm off to CA this week and will be interested to see what the mileage is after break-in. Anybody else going to Monterey Historics?

I always wanted a Lambo and in terms of gas mileage that's exactly what I have. No complaints though. You wanna play you have to pay. Just the cost of doin' business to listen to that beautiful V8.

Based on your figures, coming from a GL450 shouldn't be that bad, right?
