- next to impossible to keep it clean. drive a few miles down the road after washing the car, and you'll see dust on the body.
- hides the body curves & lines, hides the material differences like the hood and air dam grilles.

Well, you shouldn't because my black looks way more wicked next to your silver
(seriously, you just can't go wrong... even if it was some taupe color)

I went for black/black/black maple, I think it sets of the agressive styling of the car off beautifully.
I do have to agree with the other posters that the black will show up any dust, but give you more of an excuse to spend time with the car giving it a good wash!

Keeping the black clean isn't that bad if you keep some quick detailer and microfiber towels in the trunk. I live on the Gulf of Mexico and have a sand/gravel driveway. I will be evacuating the rig if this storm/hurricane keeps its path. The last thing I want is to post "after" pics.

I also use quick detailer on my pewter, but it would be hard to notice swirl marks. That's why I like the metallic and the pewter. We also get a lot of dust/sand in the air and we're not at the beach. Not to mention the pollen from the oaks in the spring and fall and the pine trees in the spring. It's a lot less noticeable than on black.
Where are you on the Gulf Coast? It looks like Florida is going to bear the brunt of Fay. We're keeping tabs here in Orlando since the projected path is similar to Charlie in 2004.
