It is different for sure. Cleaning and protecting the paint would present major challenges unless there is some kind of "wonder product" made just for matte finishes. Not to mention the additional cost. I'm pretty sure that it will cost more than a standard finish. I guess the question is "How much would you be willing to pay?"

If you can, you should try to test drive one. My multiple test drives, I was allowed to do almost anything ( M mode shifting) which you won't able to do initially when you get your car until the 1K miles

To all you military personel in Germany. We have been going back and forth about the new MSRP and a military discount. I have not been able to get into "build your own" for over a week until today. Please go into Torpedo garage US Military sales and the AMG C63 price list shows normal state side price with a military discount of 8% across the board!!

I think I sent my check on a Wed, Penny Wall emailed me on Thurs night telling me she got payment in full, then Today was a little over a week later. Not quite two weeks. I love this car WAYY better than my e46 M3. Wow, the audio and the torque.... All just all around a much nicer package.

Awesome. Thanks, Matt. How are the tires in this cold weather? I will have a 300km drive home after P/U and might just take my winter wheels and tires with me to Sindelfingen. Plus it will be two weeks closer to Winter. Do you think it is worth the effort?

well, the rain made it a little tail happy when i got on it, but the cold wasn't really a big deal today. normally 45+. I'm not sure about your trip back. I think you'll have to play it by ear. I'm gonna put my snow tires on this weekend.

No, I am a old grease monkey. I have been a crew chief and have been doing aircraft maintenance for three decades. I worked on F-111D's and F's at Cannon AFB, New Mexico and went downrange "Desert Shield/Storm" with the F-4 E and G modells "Wild Weasel" from Spangdahlem AB here in Germany and we really did light the place up back then.I am now a DOD silly civilian and manage a multi million dollar contract, aircraft maintenance, servicing.I am avery busy person with almost no free time and am working on a second contract bid, due date bid is due today!! If the company wins the bid I will have a very Merry Christmas indeed!! Oh and George was a scary place for us maintenance folks, F-4's as far as the eye could see. That was what we called a "mans" jet
