I do not know if you can order the factory option NAV after you get a car without the option.
With that being said, the car I got DID NOT have the NAV option. I did a lot of research. You can add a high end unit with 7" screen that has NAV, plays DVD's, satellite radio, iPod interface, backup camera, etc., but it will be expensive. Because MB setup the stock system with the screen above the vents, the radio below the vents, and the radio knob in the console, you would have to changeout the deck, do a lot of trim work, turn the upper screen into a storage area of sorts, and remove the knob and have that area sanded and painted. I was quoted about $2,500 to do all of that.
I wound up just adding a Garmin Nuvi NAV to the left corner of my windshield and it is working fine. I'm also getting used to the stock setup and have learned how to program the bluetooth and satellite radio. At $600, I saved a lot too!

Check the German E-bay there are usually one or two on there. you would have to pick up the US Nav DVD and replace the Europe maps. Not inexpensive I would just go with and aftermarket Nav like others have suggested.
