hey guys on saturday night it was raining out bad i was makein my way home with my friend and his gf and i was going around a turn and hit a huge puddle now im stuck in my car in 3 feet of water and my car shut off we had to get out the car and all the water started to come in the car i waited 35 mins for a tow truck and when they got there they towed it out the water they had called me the next day they had said ur car dont start dont look like im getting it back i have pictures but i will post them when i get a chance im so pissed

Been there, done that. Sorry to hear about that. 
Exact same thing happened to my C55, the great thing was that my insurance sent me a fat check for the entire cost of the car.

but GOOD LORD!
although the pot holes in Manhattan is harsh on cars, we rarely have lakes forming from heavy rain.

hey guys ya everyone was ok but i dident go out the window because everything shut down the car wouldn't go back on and the windows wouldn't go down and we dident push the car because i wasn't thinking at the time to get my car out .....iit happen in pleham manor its right near the bronx i never seen water that high before on a street but there was also a 645i that someone left in the water and a acura tl that was speeding and dident see it and flew threw it because dident see the water and his whole car shut down but insurances should be covering it and most likely gonna get a new c63 or haven't decided yet what to get thanks everyone for writing back

Yup...total loss. I wonder if the motor threw a rod? Sometimes on these flood cars that were driving and hit water, you can see holes in the engine blocks where the rod punches through.

what the heck!!!! you guys get that much water build up on the streets? Was it because of the Hurrican? or does this just happen in heavey rain fall?
